Complaint Description:On May 12, 2025, I experienced a deeply unprofessional and disrespectful encounter with a Meijer employee during a visit to their Beltline location. I submitted a formal complaint to Meijer Corporate (Case Number: CS1792819), and was informed it would be forwarded to the Store Director.However, rather than receiving any communication from the Store Director, I received a generic and dismissive email from an employee named ****** ***** on May 14. The response included no apology, no acknowledgment of harm, and no transparency regarding whether any accountability or corrective action was taken. It appeared to be a copy-and-paste message that minimized the seriousness of the issue and framed it as general "feedback" instead of customer mistreatment.I responded in writing on May 15 requesting clarity on three simple points:Will there be accountability for the employees conduct?Will Meijer issue a formal apology?What steps will be taken to ensure customers are treated with respect going forward?As of today, May 22, 2025, I have received no response. The Meijer in *******, ******** both it's main store and gas station, CONSTANTLY have their pop and or slushie machine down. It's been literal MONTHS. I very rarely complain about anything (out loud) but this is ridiculous. It's so rare to get a fountain drink or slushie at this location. I try to be patient and understanding but it has been an abundance of months we are talking here where you just can't get anything to drink because the machine is down. I didn't realize having a simple slushie or fountain drink would become such a rarity. Please someone SOS so that we may once again have the simple things in life.....like something cold and wet when it's hot and dry.Business Response

I am writing to express my continued frustration regarding the repeated receipt of unsolicited mail from Meijer, despite having previously contacted the company about this issue and receiving confirmation that it would be resolved.I contacted Meijer months and months ago to request that my name and address be removed from all mailing lists and databases used for marketing purposes. I was assured that the necessary action would be taken. However, I have since received additional pieces of mail, the most recent arriving on May 9 after having received mail a few days before.This repeated disregard for my request is both disappointing and unacceptable. As of 5/15/25, things were corrected and now the consumer's information has been updated to reflect the removal off the mailing list. The consumer may still receive one more mailer in June since it takes some adjustment within the systems to register the removal. The business is selling an ******* their own brand as Strawberries and cream, but this isnt strawberry. Its apples. No where on the front does it indicate that its strawberry flavored apples. This is false advertising.Business Response

They consistently advertise lower prices than items ring up. I've reported that to the ***. Also, their employees are awful, always rude and hateful. They've also hidden damages to items and food by placing labels over the damage. Their practices are clearly intended to sneakily get away with selling damaged items and charge more without consumers noting the discrepancy. On may 11, 2024 i made a payment to my meijer mastercard in store (Lapeer, MI Store) of $379.65 by check # ****, which was cashed but never applied to my credit card account. On June 1, 2024 I made a payment to my meijer mastercard in store (Lapeer, MI Store) of $850.00 by check 1484, which was cashed but never applied to my credit card account. I called and opened a dispute, which I then received letters stating that both amounts would show up on my account/bill within 2 billing cycles. They were never applied.Business Response

Meijer in ***********, ** bottle return machines are constantly down. There are only 2 active ones that seem to work and there is a like every time I go. It doesnt appear they are attempting to fix them at all.Business Response

Every time I walk into the store, my purpose is to do grocery shopping, then leave. Upon arriving in the store every time, I get bullied, harassed and followed around by these little ************ that are desperate to sell a phone. I dont appreciate being harassed by ************ when I simply come in there to do grocery shopping. If I wanted to make a friend Meijer, I would. If I wanted to get a new phone or new phone service, I would personally go to the phone store. I have no desire to talk to **** in the grocery store as my ice cream and frozen foods and perishables are going bad. If you tell them youre not interested or tell them go away, they will still follow you around and stalk you throughout the produce section until have to threaten them.Business Response

I placed an order that I never received..the picture sent to me was of an order left in a driveway...not my driveway. I had a new television set in the order..I never received it and all of Meijer employs I spoke with were extremely rude ..I've been hung up on,scolded,and asked not to call back .they should hire people to do their job. After further review, the refund has been denied. The delivery partner was able to confirm that the consumer never provided instructions to the shopper. I am writing in reference to a particular location in ***************, but also in reference to this companys general customer service. My last three visits to this business consist of the following. The first time, my son and I went to the car and discovered a bag with an item we did not purchase so I had my son run it into the store. So someone had purchased an expensive bottle of shampoo and never received it prior to my being checked out, the second time we came home an discovered that we had a bag of taco seasoning that we never purchased, nor was on our receipt so someone else did not get their product they purchased prior to us checking out. This last time we went to the store we were the victims and did not receive an item that we had purchased and were charged for. It also seems its the same guy bagging groceries each time. This is the guy whos the bald guy at this location and is the one that consistently is s******* up on shorting people items in their order. Also, on this visit, we could not get any help at the deli and the gentleman who was there already even tried to call the store for help before he walked away and then eventually I walked away while two employees knew we were there and ignored us and would not help us because they were too busy trying to do things not related to serving customers. So what generated this complaint is the fact that Meijers customer service is ridiculous. They do not care about addressing the issues they just put Band-Aids on major wounds. I was just told to go back to the store with my receipt to get the item that I did not receive to me. Thats a huge inconvenience. First off going to the store is always a nightmare because their lines are always consistently long. Then having to go through a bunch of BS to get a $2.50 item Im assuming the store just doesnt care about customers and just cares about greed based on what Im seeingBusiness Response
