      Their credit card company is the absolute worst. They made a mistake, but made me feel like the guilty party.Could not reach so-called meijer customer service by phone. Too busy 15+ minute wait. Then, they barely speak english when you wait! A dreadful company!

      Overcharged Box Wine. January 13, 2023 I bought box wine. The sale price was *****. After returning home I discovered I had been charged *****. I could only get a gift card refunded for the difference. This is not satisfactory to me.This is not the first time I have been overcharged. Meijers habitually charges me incorrectly. This needs to be addressed with inventory management.

      I decided to sample the local Meijer grocery in ******** ******** last November. I normally do business with personal checks and having lived in this area since ****, I've never had a problem doing so with any business. My late November purchase was about $90 paid by check without incident. One week later on December 2 2022, I spent another hour shopping there and at the checkout I presented a personal check for $177. The check was declined. I'm 71 years old and employed and this was the first time I've ever had this happened in my life. I have zero history of passing bad checks. I immediately called my bank which is a mile away and confirmed I had over $3000 in my account. The Meijer checkout told me to call Telecheck (contracted by Meijer) to get the reason for the declined sale. ********* initially said it was an error. I asked to speak to a supervisor at Telecheck who admitted I was declined because spending $90 by check the previous week, followed by an attempted purchase of $177 only a week later raised a "red flag". She further stated that my "profile" at the time of the declined purchase was incomplete. I found this quite curious having shopped at the local Wal Mart, Farm and Fleet, Hy Vee, Midas, etc for over 15 years with no more than a random ID check to complete my personal check purchase. The Meijer store management of course blamed Telecheck but I believe Meijer has opted for a special level of personal check rejection and to h*** with the local resident shopper. I called Meijer regional office with my complaint and the first agent just cut me off. A second agent said my complaint would be addressed and I would receive a corporate response. None was received. Behind the trendy music. neat product presentation and roomy aisles, Meijer is a slimy, anti-consumer business using Telecheck as a weapon. At least Telecheck levelled with me and told the truth. Meijer wasted my one hour of shopping time and served up humiliation at the checkout.

      If I could give this business a 0 I would. **********, ** is supposedly the first store **** Meijer opened , but it has the worst employees! They all feel they own the store or that they do the community a favor. They close ************ at random times and the manager stated I can close ************ when I want . Please keep reporting to BBB on this business to make others shoppers aware.

      i think like so many big corporations, Meijer wants only your business but no customer service after. I bought gas from a Meijer store and it had water in it. It cost me not only the priceth of the gas but $247.50 out of pocket to have the problem resolved. This was back in Oct. I filed a complaint with Meijer and was to *************** to be handled, I was given a Case #.I have followed up and the story is the same. I have never been contacted .

      Their ads are misleading as to items in stock and price. Get you to the store. Bait and switch technique.

      I placed an order and was charged on my ebt card and my debit card. When I called them it takes 7 to 10 days for a credit. This was a Meijer problem and I called 8 times and spoke to 8 people and no resolution or compensation for 2 days of phone calls

      Meijer Jenison, **....My wife and I were racially profiled and accused of stealing when we had a bag, a receipt and the verification of the cashier who checked us out. The store greeter says it's their policy that they can check anyone and their bags anytime they want. My wife works for Meijer. She said it is not the policy which they turned into an argument and kept escalating after we asked for a manager. It is not ***'s Club or ****** where you sign a contract. This incident happened on 11/6/22. We complained to the store director of this incident, and it backfired on us. They showed no grief or resentment for how we were treated. They are retaliating against my wife. They have written her up for speaking up against how they not only treated me but her also. They said it was a conflict of interest and in another instance, they said it was unbecoming of her being a team member. This happened when she was not at work and not even at her store. A location close to our home. They have been taunting her. When they coached her, she asked to see the policy. Her boss could not pull it up, so she said to talk to the H.R. why have someone who can't verify the policy coach her. So, my wife spoke to H.R. and asked why they talked to everyone else involved in the commotion but not her and 2. can they show her where its policy is to harass people and demand to see their receipt when they have a bag and cashier verification. the H.R. said there isn't a written policy. that "everyone just knows this" it seems odd that no one can show her this policy, but they wrote her up for it. My wife is also in the army. Almost 16 years and going strong. She has NEVER been written up once. Previously working at Meijer, she worked for ********* for 13 years. NEVER been written up. When talking to the store, they said "our store manager is black, we aren't racist" but who said anything about that. We are talking about how you accused us of stealing. I am disgusted with Meijer!!!

      Worked at store 319 for a year. Was discriminated for my religion by a co-worker multiple times and the ** Lines lead didnt do anything about it. ** lines lead stepped too far into my personal business and used it against me constantly. Was given loads of managment work without manager pay. Managment never approaches serious conversation politely, its always a rude scolding from them. Lines lead judges situations only by ******* and believes it all and then threatens write *** and termination. Completely unprofessional handling of situations, tons of favoritism, and loads of hypocrisy. It was never a diverse or inclusive place to be as their policy claims. I never felt accepted at this store and I am absolutely shocked at how I was treated as an employee. They dont treat you like youre human.

      Don't go here to use your Bridge card. I had miscalculated and gotten more than the amount that was on my card. I asked the cashier to please take off the extra, and she refused. I was told I couldn't take ANYTHING (not even what my Bridge card covered) until I paid my whole bill. I told her I had to cancel my transaction. At that point, as I was walking away, she stepped in front of me and asked where I thought I was going, I had to pay my bill (I wasn't taking anything with me) and said I could pay with the debit card she saw in my wallet. They charged my Bridge card, but I got no groceries. I called the manager and he claimed he would have it fixed and the money put back on my card. Still nothing.
