After doing some research on washer and dryers we came across Estate Warehouse. We decided our next day off to rent a trailer and make the voyage roughly an hour away. Was welcome by a smiling face and shown over to the washer section, where we decided to take the nicer of the sets of washers. Assure all equipment is tested before sale. Took the set home and got them all hooked up. ****** almost came walking down the hallway. We called up there and we were told bring it back up and they would fix it. Frustrated we rent another trailer and make the hour voyage to meet with their mechanic, where I found the mountain of appliances sitting in the rain broken waiting to hope to run long enough to get into your home. Mechanic guy was super cool and explained basically the entire unit was done and needed an overhaul. Stressed I asked what our next step was, I was told go to the store and I could go pick another washer. Thats when it went bad to worse.. We walked in and the two girls had no idea of what was going on, so we explained we just came from the shop and our washer was broken and we were sent to get another washer. Then the girl proceeded to reply with oh God. Oh God what?? Then pointed over at the washers telling me to go pick out another one. At this point theres no confidence that Im not going to have another 2 hour trip, I said he wed like to take the dinged up new washer. I was told that I needed to pay the difference. Thinking wow after 4 hours and 2 trailer rentals you want me to pay more money? I said okay, and asked how much that would be. She said $150. Well the washer I originally brought home was on the floor for $300 and the new one was $425. Sooo how did I owe $150 before tax? Theres really not much good I could say about this establishment. Ultimately business model is fix broken ****, sell it to you at premium cost, with shady practices. At the bare minimum I should get my $25 EXTRA dollars back!RUN, ITS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE OR LIES.

We're sorry for your experience. When you bought the unit, we explained our warranty process and if you have any issues, being over 20 minutes away, you would need to bring the unit back for service. All of the units are serviced and tested prior to arriving at the store. They are provided by a third-party vendor. Some months we sell 400 to 450 units, we have about a 3% defect rate where a unit needs serviced/exchanged. Between being loaded onto trucks, Michigan roads, unloaded, up and down people stairs etc etc, things can happen. With your particular case, you arrived at the off-site repair facility and you saw several hundred appliances sitting outside. That would be a correct assessment, all of those units outside were unserviceable with damaged control boards and expensive repairs of that nature that can't be serviced and put back into circulation. They're waiting to be tore down for scrap. Everything that is salvageable and fixable goes into the main warehouse until it's ready to go to one of the many facilities that sell the appliances for this vendor. When the repair tech told you that he couldn't repair your unit, he should have explained to you better that you would be responsible for any difference in pricing. He also should have called the store and spoke with staff there. That didn't happen, it was a miscommunication and for that I apologize. You were also refunded your $25.44 as you were in fact overcharged during the exchange process.
