For several years, our community has been experiencing ongoing problems with two street lights at public school bus stops in our subdivision. Despite numerous attempts to address these issues with KS Management in *********, ** (the ********************** management company), I have yet to receive any concrete solutions or estimated timelines for repairs. As residents, we fulfill our obligations by paying fees to KS Management for their services. However, the lack of action on these critical matters is deeply concerning. I have attempted to resolve the issue through our board and directly with KS Management. KS Management points the finger at the **** and the *** points the finger at KS Management. There is much confusion about which party is responsible for these necessary repairs. It will be a sad day when someone gets seriously injured due to KS Managements dereliction of contractual obligations.

      Business Response

      Dear *****************,

We have been aware of the concerns regarding the street light issues in your community, and while we understand the frustration this has caused, we want to once again explain the efforts we have made to address this situation.

To clarify, this street light problem predates KS Managements involvement with your community. Since taking over management, we have been working diligently with the ***** of ********* to find a viable solution to this complex issue.

As you know, the situation is intricate due to the fact that the original construction of several homes resulted in the driveway installations severing the power lines to the street light. The proposed solution involves rerouting power from nearby homes, a process that requires legal agreements and the cooperation of the affected homeowners.

We have engaged legal counsel to ensure that the appropriate measures are taken to address this problem without causing undue disruption or unreasonable financial burden to the community. However, this legal process and coordination with homeowners takes time. We are committed to resolving this issue, but it must be done in a manner that is legally sound and equitable for all involved.

It is important to note that communication regarding this matter has been directed to legal homeowners. Unfortunately, engaging with individuals who are not legal homeowners could complicate the situation further.

To address the immediate safety concerns, we will reach out to the local school district to request the relocation of the bus stop to a better-lit location. This measure will help while we work on a permanent solution for the street light issue.

We assure you that both KS Management and the ***** are fully aware of the urgency of this matter and are taking steps to address it. We are working towards a solution that will not only resolve the current issue but also prevent future occurrences.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this complex situation.

      Thank you for your cooperation,

      ****** Reyna

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

      Regards,

Two streetlights have been out for 16 months and 4 years. We have continually been promised that the issue is being fixed. The last update we had was that one of the lights, located at a PUBLIC-SCHOOL BUS STOP, was to be fixed late Summer/early Fall. We have received no further updates on progress nor has the previous promise of the bus stop being moved come to fruition. One of the stop signs/light poles at the corner of ************** and ************************* doesn't even have the pole left, so there is not even a stop sign at this very busy intersection. I previously filed a report and then closed it upon receipt of response from KS. I will not close out this complaint until both lights are fixed. The communication has now basically ceased and we have not had a Board Meeting in almost over a year.
