      I have been screwed over twice by this so called company Flagstar Bank, 1st as an employee then as a Mortgage Customer! Please avoid this company at all costs! The only way they treat you as a human is when they can make money off of you! There underwriters are a joke I was almost ready to close then all of a sudden they find a reason why I'm not approved but not until they collected $570 from a disabled person for an appraisal which is non refundable of course!
      I will not let them screw me over a third time and I will let everyone know to stay away!

      I am trying to pay off my loan and they are charging me to give me my payoff amount and instructions. I can have the information mailed to me, but will take 5-7 business days for free. So this is obviously a way to make up for the interest they are losing by giving me the information right now. How is that legal? They won’t even let me make a payment online or over the phone.

      The company does not allow you to use business accounts to make payments. When speaking to the representative, they only can tell me that it is "company policy" with no additional information as to why this policy exists. This provides concerns for tax purposes and creates a challenge with cashflow since I have to use my personal account.

      I wish I could give a negative star rating because Flagstar bank is horrible. Staff are rude and disrespectful at every call. If you have a choice do not use this company.

      Just received an escrow statement and apparently we have an escrow shortage and now our mortgage goes up $200 to pay back that shortage. How do we get penalized for the shortage. they were supposed to calculate the projected escrow amount to pay so this doesnt happen. And we have only been in the home for 15 months. Why let the escrow get to this point to where we owe $1700? Why not let your customers aware of this so it could have been taken care of earlier. So instead of our budgeted $1500 mortgage, now I have to figure out how to pay $200 along with everything else going up. ********

      Sellers Beware! They hand out pre-approval letters like party favors and when they turned the person down, they didnt tell me for almost a month. All the while they were saying a closing would be any minute. My house was tied up for almost 3 months because of them. I asked them to reimburse one month of rent and utilities and they acted like its some sort of joke. Getting ready to **** Insist on a different mortgage company or pass on the offer if its through flagstar.

      In November, I was working with broker who is a third party administrator for HELOC loans with FLAGSTAR. When I realized that they were trying to charge me 5K for closing costs, I cancelled. They also asked me for $500 up front. I got to the office of the president and found out that they were indeed not part of FLAGSTAR, but were rented out to make money for their bank essentially. The person that helped me was the assistance to the president and seemed very knowledgeable and concerned about this company having only used FLAGSTARS name. He did some research got back and assured me my $500 was on the way as of December 22. To date, no check, and also magically now, I can't get a return call back from from ***************************. I leave at least one message a day. I am a middle class citizen, that has to work very hard for my money. Its mine, and regardless if FLAGSTAR is loaning their name out or not, its still their responsibility to ensure people are not get ponzi'd.

      No One has resolved the issue. I still don't have my money, and obviously I didn't reach the department able to help. This has been going on for over a month. I have the documents with Flagstar's name that they are the receiving party of my money. Your team keeps saying its not you, but it is. People do time for ***** schemes, and for stealing money from innocent people.

      Flag star is horrible. I have a loan with them that starts off at. $850,000 earlier this year. Within less than a year i paid it down to $730,000 with additional principal. They sent me a letter saying that i have bounced checks, but no reppresentative were able to tell me which checks bounced or how much? I pay via their web portal with direct payment from my banks. Occasionally i get. CASHIER"S CHECK from the bank (verified funds) for an extra $2000 - $2500 towards. principal. How then these cashier's check bounce? Flag star bank then will NOT alllow me to pay via their web portal anymore. I have more than $300,000 in my account to pay flag star. Flagstar bans me for 5 months from paying them via portal. Now i have to go to the bank to get CASHIER's checks (verified funds) to pay them. Banned for 5 months wihout explanation. Obnoxious company. I want to pay them as fast as i can so i don't give them any more interest than necessary. Will NOT Ever recommned this company, I own several homes, and i will be sure to steer cLEAR from Flagstar. More like SAGstar. less than 1/5 of star rating.

      my loan number is **SSN**. My name is ***************. I am unable to determine what checks bounced? All checks were CASHIER"S checks from banks (verified funds) that were ". additional principal". My payments to you are on AUTO pay (ACH) with plenty of fund in the banks, Yet you BANNED ME FROM PAYING VIA BANK PORTAL through YOUR WEBSITE . I have NOT ever been late in paying, and i have paid ~ $100,000 us dollars since the inception of my loan less than one year ago. On top of that i am prepaid until April 2023. Yet you have banned me from using your portal for PAYMENT via MY BANK@@@ for 6 months. It is uncalled for. No reason at all. My credit score is *******. I am a good client . NO one at your customer service phone was able to answer anything. I need you to reinstate my ability to pay via web portal IMMEDIATELY. I have more than enough money to pay you and plan to pay off the loan EARLY!!!! {;ease fix this immediate. I plan to vpice my complain loudly until it it fixed. ***************, MD

      Obnoxious letters - My mortgage was sold to Flagstar bank and few months ago and ever since then they keep sending me letters starting they do not have my proof of insurance and then they that we do not have adequate coverage. They should have received this info from the lender they purchased the loan from, but instead put the burden on their customers. Further, they are so aggressive they claim they will purchase insurance for you and then make you pay for it. When it turns out we have had adequate coverage the entire time. THE WORST! #donotchooseflagstar #obnoxious

      The ABSOLUTE WORST bank to have a ***** with. I won't go into detail on pulling teeth to get the ***** but Flagstar makes it impossible to PAY the *****! We have an automatic payment setup for each month to come out of a Flagstar checking account. When Flagstar setup the bank account for the automatic payment they fat fingered the account number. Despite our efforts to remove this incorrect bank account EVERY month since then it always re-appears. So then when Flagstar ***** tries to pull from Flagstar Bank, it always gets denied. We have called in every month for the last 5 months to correct this issue to no avail. Oh and we can only make a payment towards principal between the 6th and 10 of each month otherwise Flagstar's grossly incompetent system will just apply the payment to next months balance. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS
