      I have had flagstar for About 3 years now I recently Gotten to hardships and was not able to pay my mortgage statement and I submitted a last medication application and they lost documents that I provided online that has a paper trail And I had to wait extensive time For them to process the paperwork and I am currently behind on my mortgage because of it And during this time for last medication they have submitted a sheriff's sale on my property which is A Direct violation to dual tracking And I am working with lawyers to resolve this issue immediately ************ is a bunch of scammers and my direct point of contact will no longer talk to me and I have not been able to talk to them ever since the loss mitigation process

      Flagstar is a joke. They lowered my mortgage because there was additional funds for supplemental taxes. What happens next year I do not have enough money in my escrow account. Their customer service is awful and not understanding. They also wont allow for the monthly payment to take out additional money for the escrow account. If youre a new homebuyer and dont notice this, you can easily get in some big financial trouble. Flagstar, do better.

      Make sure you never voluntarily use flag star bank... they will "send you" notices that never make it to you. Then tell you youre responsible for fees because you shouldve known. Thanks for buying out my mortgage so i have the displeasure of dealing with these liars and crooks... after visiting here its no wander they are not BBB accredited only the bare minimum and lack of documentation and shady business practices for Flagstar Bank. If there was a way to leave 0 stars i would.

      Called flagstar bank to dispute my incorrectly projected escrow shortage payment. **************** spoke to me in a condescending manner and told me it's not basic math and that I do not know how to calculate an escrow shortage payment.Since I make extra payments towards my principal flagstar eventually moved my next expected payment date a month out. So after paying in March my next payment date was *** instead of April. I still make payments every month despite the change. When I bring up the fact that it's not considering that I still make my payments to every month and the escrow estimated shortage did not calculate the month of April that is when I was spoken to as if calculating an escrow payment for the year is some difficult economics equation.They refuse to do the math themselves and rely on the computer readout in front of them. Avoid this company at all costs. My mortgage was unfortunately sold or transferred to them after the first few months.

      I went to the Flagstar location in ************* **. A gentleman helped me and his colleague next to him proceeded to ask me for my information and social security number. She asked me where did I get this money my mother made a cash deposit and I was with her and I do not bank with them. She wasnt the bank teller helping me but seemed offended at the cash amount my mother wanted to deposit. She was not the teller assisting us but she inserted herself and was quite rude and inappropriate & asked me for my info although I wasnt the one banking. My mom has been with the bank prior to the name change, over 15 years! She closing her account rather than opening a CD account like she initially wanted to. And no info was needed for the deposit my mom made fyi.

      Do not use Flagstar Bank for your home mortgage. This bank is shady and nothing but scammers. We have had our mortgage loan for about 4 years, and they can never get your escrow right. I should have received a refund check from the amount that was over from last year. I never received the check, so I called, and they reissued the check for way less than the original amount. When I called again to ask where the rest of my money was, they gave me some story about how they found an error on their part. They have not been collecting enough money for escrow and I will have a shortage in my account. Then they went on to say that I have been paying PMI insurance all of this time when it should have dropped off. They clearly cannot manage peoples accounts. Not sure at the point what is going on with my account. The lady named **** could not give me clear answers and just said they would have someone call me. Unfortunately, interest rates are ridiculous, or we would be moving our money now to another bank. If I would not have called about a refund check, my account would still be messed up and no one would have noticed until I owed a huge amount at the end. This is not the first time they have miscalculated my account. Be sure you watch your loans with them. They will give you all kinds of excuses but there is nothing you can do.

      Flagstar took over ** Community Bank and made something terrible even worse. The automated phone system is designed by absolute morons and then you talk with a representative and they are even worse. They can't transfer you to the correct department and it's impossible to access your money. This bank should be liquidated.

      I had a fire in my garage just before Easter after ************************************************************************************************************************* and sending my check to my mortgage company leaving me with possibly getting tickets from my police department because my property is a disaster after the fire and going through the mortgage company to get the check will be another month all this just to replace my over head door and garage door opener and to rent a dumpster

      This is by far the worst bank I have ever done business with. Since their merger, I have had nothing but problems with them. Their customer service is dreadful and no one seems to be able to help, nor do they have the knowledge to explain anything. The online system is not "real-time" and they don't inform you there is an issue until it is too late, and then they charge ridiculous late fees and put you in payment purgatory where you can't make an electronic payment (even though the checking account is with the same bank and they would receive the payment immediately). When they do contact you, it's via snail mail, though they confirm your email with every customer service call. They are a predatory bank and try to back a consumer into a corner to create late fees and penalties. Do not do business with them. If I could give no stars, I would.

      I was told dont make any payments over & over again during Covid Forebearance. Went back to work 6-12 months later only to be told Im not able to mk payments. Ive been sending in Mortgage Assistance docs all this time only to hv them continuously place me on forebearance rather than defer my payments or place me me on a repayment plan & allow me to mk payments. Ive been capable of making payments for the past ********* sent proof bt still no resolution. I was told We werent going to get mortgage assistance, hung up on, ignored & disregarded by Flagstar Bank. No follow-up, docs not being processed. Where's the class action lawsuit???
