Flagstar is horrible. DO NOT USE FLAGSTAR! I am stuck with them as a mortgage lender because I went through one of those 3rd party lenders that finds you the lowest mortgage rates and after my loan transferred to a couple of different lenders I ended up with Flagstar. If I could refinance with a different lender I would but interest rates will never be as low as what I have now. Every year since Flagstar has had ********** mortgage payment has gone up. They keep saying they found a shortage in my escrow and Im not talking a few dollars. Its always hundreds of dollars. My mortgage payment has increased by hundreds of dollars over the past 3/4 years since Flagstar. Yes, I have a fixed interest rate. I understand that taxes and home owners insurance rates increase over time due to inflation but my taxes dont go up every year and insurance just a few dollars. I cannot help but think that they are stealing money and covering it up through escrow accounts. Ive read the previous reviews of this company and they are all legitimate based off of my experience. No, I am not going to reach out to Flagstar via ******** or ******** That is a horrible way for a company to request communication. That should be a red flag in itself.Flagstar Bank

1 starThis company is reporting my escrow as part of my principal balance on my house to the credit agencies.This is false information they are reporting, I've called them multiple times to have them fix the problem and they refuse to fix it. This has adversely affected my credit score. Whether this is a mistake or they're doing this on purpose it is not right and I will be contacting legal counsel to see what my options are. I'm not sure what the benefit to them in false reporting to credit agencies is, but I can only believe it must be some kind of benefit they're achieving from this criminal action.Review fromJane B

Flagstar has lost my buisness. They have merged with a new bank out of ******** (still calling themselves Flagstar). The new sign in process for getting onto the website has been nothing short of a nightmare. Two phonecalls to the branch, two to support and the girls there in support even used the word "nightmare". You also CANNOT connect your business account to Quickbooks any longer. Flagstar has come up with a new sign in on the web portal which is not a username and password, so the sign in connecting it to quichbooks is not supported. I gave it a couple of weeks and spent another two hours on tech with both QB and Flagstar. NOPE. I would have to go into the portal, download all transactions, save to file, open quickbooks and then upload. NOPE.Flagstar Bank

The new online banking will not let ** access activity on my account before the last 90 days. As a business owner this is a huge problem for me and my customers as amounts are iften sent via zelle. If I could give this less than 1 star I would. There are not enough words in the English language that can express how utterly disappointed I am with my experience with Flagstar Bank. From start to finish, the handling of my loss mitigation application has been nothing short of a nightmare. We diligently submitted a loss mitigation application in early January. However, what followed was a series of frustrating setbacks, outright lies, and miscommunications. Despite providing all requested documentation, we received notification that our first application was incomplete, only to be told later that it had been terminated due to missing information. Our first single point of contact outright lied throughout our first application.Attempts to follow up on the status of our application were met with unhelpful and rude customer service agents, who lacked any empathy or basic customer service skills. Despite our repeated efforts to comply with the lender's requirements including submitting a second loss mitigation application, we continued to receive contradictory information and requests for the same documentation. The system that is used to upload documents is subpar and for some reason information continues to go missing. Even though I have made several attempts to prove that we have complied with everything they have asked, they simply do not care and advise us to submit another loss mitigation application. The impact of this incompetence on our family has been devastating. In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Flagstar Bank to proceed with extreme caution. Their lack of professionalism, communication, and competence has caused undue stress and hardship for my family, and I would not wish this experience upon anyone.Flagstar Bank

After the new merger. Flagstar is the absolute worst. There new website is difficult to navigate and the scheduled payments are weird. Even if you are not delinquent on payments and you make your payment ON TIME. They call and harass you about payments. I have been a mortgage homeowner with this company for over 11 years and I have never in my life had service reps. **** me this many times about a payment that was on time its insane.Flagstar Bank

1 starDo not do business with Flagstar! Run! They have the most incompetent employees l've ever dealt with. They admittedly made mistakes on my loan modification, failed to correct the mistakes, and have attempted to foreclose on my home, where my wife and I are raising our two wonderful children. We have sued them in Federal Court and counterclaimed their foreclosure efforts, in which the judge has already dismissed their attempt to dismiss our counterclaim. Flagstar is trash. Their debit card system went down and they don't notify their customers. Not on their website, app, no email, text, or on the hold music. Sat on hold for 20 minutes. A simple message to your customers if there is an issue is the most basic of customer care. Happens all the time with ********************.Flagstar Bank

Loan service is not great and they deliberately make it hard for consumer to pay off the loan faster and sooner. Request for payoff costs money, unless you wait for snail mail. Snail mail pay off statement also does not reflect current payments, so i ended up receiving an incorrect pay off statement via mail (after wasting 5 days of processing). The service rep was rude and refused to provide a correct payoff amount via email unless I pay a $30 fee, even though it was their system that generated an out dated number. Rep really want me to either pay $30 now, or delay my pay off date to wait for snail mail. More fees for them to earn.Flagstar Bank
