Dates/Amounts of transactions:- Upfront: $199.00, 6/15/23 - Payment after move: $887.50, 6/30/23 - Total: $1086.50 Confirmation #: ******* What the business committed to provide you:- "100% stress-free moving experience"- Arrival Window: Between 1PM-3PM.- Professionally trained and licensed "expert movers."Nature of the dispute:I hired College Hunks to move my one-bedroom apartment to the North End in **********PM window for them to arrive. It gets to be ~3PM and my girlfriend and I cannot get into contact with the moving team/manager. From 2:40PM to 4:05PM, I called the Hunks' # ** times, without being get a hold of the team. The movers finally call me when they are 5 mins away and show up, beginning the move almost 1 1/2hrs late. This was very stressful because we had secured a parking permit that expired at 5pm for their moving truck. Because spots in the North End are taken quickly, I had to ask to leave my work early to go and try and protect the spot from being taken. I work as an attorney and getting permission to leave early was not easy. The movers blamed being late on a lack of planning by their manager who booked too many moves that day. Movers were unprofessional, one was very rude. Carelessly moved boxes, kept rolling the dolly over a speed bump (even though there was ample space to go around) which resulted in a flowerpot falling and smashing, and put duct tape over furnished wood damaging the stain. After unpacking we noticed that our bathroom scale was smashed. The movers did not seem to care to bring the boxes to the correct rooms, bringing up three heavy boxes clearly marked basement that I needed to move down.Despite all the stress from the lack of communication, the rush/hack job, the move starting 1 1/2 hours late, and me being forced to leave work to save the parking spot, they only compensated me $75 for the pot and damaged wood. In no way was this worth $1086 and the "stress-free moving experience" was anything but that.

Paid over $2400 to have furniture moved to my new location. College hunks loaded one truck with furniture but it was too small. I had to rent a uhaul and put remaining furniture in it plus two cars to get remaining furniture to my new location. So much furniture was damaged moving into my new home. Walls were damaged as well. Unprofessional workers that had never moved furniture before and could not handle our bulky pieces. It has been seven months and my claim has not been resolved. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

June, 2023, I hired ** to move my ************** to a new location. They literally threw it into the back of the truck. I was so shocked by their lack of care that I actually climbed onto the truck to take pictures, which I am attaching below. Please look into this company. I was very clear when I hired this company, and when the movers arrived, that this was NOT junk removal.I hope you will look into this company and take appropriate actions.

Well I'm in a dv situation and needed to urgently leave. A friend of mine found college hunks it states they do free services for dv survivord which I would qualify however I was told May 19th my application was sent off and I was to hear something back. They day I was supposed to leave my residence May 31st was they day I was told nobody put my application in so I'm stuck at my old residence and now my landlord is ****** off plus I was also informed that they won't help because it's NOT October (dv awareness month) which is absolutely insane. My life is on the line and it does not state that it has to be October to get help. Now I have absolutely no idea on what to do. Because of this I'm accruing fees for still being at my old residence that I don't have.

I contacted College Hunks in Late August to set up an estimate to move my elderly grand parents sometime in September/October. When I contacted them again, to setup a move I was asked how many boxes would need to be moved and packed. The man on the phone told me someone would call me to come out for a quick estimate. Never got a call. Do I called back, and they setup the move based on the estimates they gave. It was a c*** show. The 2 guys on the job kept apologizing because they were short staffed. Boxes were half packed. And liquid from a weed killer in the garage spilled all over the contents of the garage. After 8 hours, Id say close to 33% of the contents of the house are not packed or moved. They charged my grandparents only a $100 shy of their high end estimate. And damaged a dresser. After contacting them about the damage and being told they would send a repairmen, the men moving the furniture claim it was already damaged. Which is funny, because the dresser was being used before the move and now cannot stand on 4 legs. It looks like the dresser was dragged instead of lifted. We wouldve used a different a company if wed known the estimate was going to be so far off. Now we have to find a way to move the remaining items because it would cost more for them to come out and finish the job. This unacceptable and completely not okay. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. Ive attached photos of the dresser damage, the box with wet and ruined contents, half or less packed boxes, and screenshots of the text messages with supervisor who continues to change her story. The original conversation with her on the phone she stated my grandparents had only been charged $1400 and something when it was really $1917. Wish I couldve gotten that recorded too.

On Sunday, September 18th College Hunks was scheduled to arrive at my house at 8:30am to help move furniture and other items from my 3 bedroom house into a new house. At 8:36am, I received a phone call from the manager notifying they were unable to complete the move. He mentioned it was due to lack of workers. I was upset due to the fact that they notified me the day of my scheduled move. He was going to call his general manager to see if they could get any employees to complete the move. About an hour later, he called me back saying they couldn't complete the move but would be able to either reschedule for Monday or give me my deposit back. Since I had to be out of my house, my only option was to reschedule for Monday. I requested a discount because they had to cancel the day of. He agreed to the discount and also had his general manager confirm. On Monday, I was unable to be at the house due to work so I had my mother in law be present. I approved her to the $217 rate they offered upon arrival. The move went fine however, upon completion of the move, they called to collect the payment. When speaking to the worker, he said the $217 rate was the typical weekday rate. This was not a discount but rather the normal price of a Monday move. I requested to speak with the general manager. She was rude, disrespectful, and condescending.
