On January 10, 2025, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. §§ 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(3)(7)(9)(10), 326B.84 (2)(4) (14) (15) (16) (2022), and Minn. Rule 2891.0020, 2891.0040, subp. 1 (C) (2021). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to revocations of the residential building contractor's license for Skansgaard Construction LLC, and the qualifying builders license for Michael Skansgaard and to cease and desist from acting as or claiming to be a residential building contractor, remodeler or residential roofer in Minnesota. The business also agreed to a $40,000.00 fine, with the full balance stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
