1 starIf I could give ZERO I would. I need accommodations and this organization has been the absolute worst to deal with. What I really need are accommodations to deal with Pearson Vue. Customer ********************** is in another country. Constantly put on hold. Constantly checking. Hard to understand the customer ********************** people who have no clue. Impossible to find a date that works for me. Ive been on hold for the equivalent of way too many hours. I have called at least 10 times to get this scheduled and finally got through after at least an hour of hold time. And, they did not honor my days of availability or times of availability. I finally gave up or else would have to wait several months to schedule. It is unfortunate that Pearson View is a monopoly. They are simply atrocious.Review fromMid l

1 starIf I could give zero that would be more suitable. These people have cause me so much stress and two job positions. You have to email and email and email to get a response. When you call they put you on hold for over an hour and still the issue is not fixed. They take your money and stress the f*** out of you and play out with your emotions. This IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! The worst part is that theyre the only company to take the licensing exam with. Article: The Emotional Toll of Communication Failure and Company Inaction The emotional abuse resulting from a lack of communication on how this company is addressing the issue is deeply troubling. Despite stressing that my job was on the line, they have shown a lack of concern in expediting the process to unlock my account. Initially, they gave me false hope that I would be able to retake the exam at no extra cost due to falling ill in the middle of it. It seems like they are exploiting their position as the sole provider of this exam.I registered to take the ** insurance licensing exam with Pearson VUE, but during the test, I began vomiting and hurried to finish. Upon reaching out to inquire about a retake due to my illness-induced performance, they requested documentation from my doctor. Despite providing all the necessary paperwork, they denied my request for a retake. I have sent numerous emails and made countless calls, often being put on hold for extended periods, sometimes spending over an hour on the phone with them. After making a payment and patiently waiting for confirmation that my account had been unlocked so I could register for a retake of the exam, I heard nothing for over a week. I had to proactively contact them, sending three emails, only to be informed that the information provided was incorrect and the payment could not be processed. It turns out they had misspelled my last name. Once again, I find myself on hold for over an hour trying to rectify this issue. There is a lack of accountability/respectReview fromBrigid D

1 starOne star is generous, I wish I could give zero or negative stars. Pearson is by far the worst company for education. If you are here on this page then you already know they are. I paid and took a pretest, but due to a website maintenance (from 7:30am-4:30pm on a Tuesday???) I was unable to review my results again the day of my test. I relied on those results as a means of studying. I called to at least get my money back for not having access to my results and they do not care. I can't believe I couldn't get access to pretest results- that I PAID FOR. When I called to speak to costumer support the final word was non-refundable. I paid for a goods and services I ultimately did not receive. We all know Pearson and other big education companies don't actually care about helping people in education, they care about themselves and their pocketbooks. I have felt more stress from the company itself than the actual test. Also, the website is intentionally confusing. It literally makes no sense that a company so mismanaged and horrible to work with, has so much power in the education field. Pearson is the worst.Review fromCecily V

1 starPurchased a subscription for a book for my class. They lock you in on a mandatory 4 month rental for the book and I was not aware of this until after I tried to cancel. They are scam artists and it is very unfortunate as students should not have to be tricked into these subscriptions. They can have the extra $20 dollars from me but their business practices are just scammy. Pearson do better.Review fromLeslie S

1 starIn researching options for online high school, I wanted to get some basic information from Pearson to see if it would fit our needs. It was impossible to reach them by phone. I ultimately went through the registration process and paid $200, being optimistic that this was the right solution, and assuming I'd be reimbursed if it wasn't.After registration, I was finally able to speak with a person. We quickly determined that this wasn't the right solution for us.Pearson refused to give a refund. They said my only option is to use this credit toward a future class. That's not going to happen. I won't be paying any more money to these people based on this bad first experience.Review fromRyan C

1 starPearson has an accommodation system that puts people with disabilities at a competetive disadvantage, requiring them to wait ten days minimum for approval while their peers can sign up for the same exams to take as soon as the next day. I have been trying to take the ******** life producer exam and since I am blind I will need accommodations, but it is unacceptable and discriminatory to force me to wait this long, and they are putting me at serious financial risk and halting my career with this discriminatory system. They told me in an email that I may not take the exam without the accommodations being approved. They don't demonstrate a willingness to put people with disabilities on an equal playing field as everyone else. They also don't prioritize customer ********************** as it is difficult to contact anyone for a variety of issues.Review fromConnod G

1 starSigned up for the ***** but was never contacted regarding selecting my testing location. Reached out via email (they basically cannot be reached via phone) and got a snotty email telling me what to do to sign up. The nearest testing location was 2hrs from my home and only offered an 8:30am exam. I selected it, but a few days later, one opening appeared 15min from my home, so I paid to have my registration switched to the new location. I was never contacted. I called dozens of times during the 2-3 weeks before the test day. Never got through to anyone. As soon as someone answered, theyd say they were transferring me to the appropriate department, but Id be out on hold until another person in that same department eventually answered and said theyd transfer me. Rinse and repeat. I would be on hold for hours. No resolution. The testing location had no contact information available online.Ended up taking the exam at the 2hr-away location. I had to leave my house at 6am, and testing centers AC was out too. I was exhausted and miserable the entire time and failed by 2 points.I submitted a formal complaint to Pearson Vue demanding a refund for, at very least, the venue change. They acknowledged receipt of my email and that was it. Every time I replied to that email, theyre automated(?) system would re-send me that same email.Fast forward 6 months, I was scheduled to take another ***** but my drivers license had expired and I couldnt get my states DOT to buckle down and actually replace my license after 2.5 months of waiting. I could not contact Pearson Vue or my testing location about this. They used the same phone and email tactics. I showed up for the exam today with extensive documentation explaining my circumstances. I was denied entry and now must pay to take the **** for a THIRD time.It should be criminal for a company to waste someones time and money like this. Someone needs to do something.Review fromSidra M

1 starMy math exam was scheduled for March 6, 2024 at 8:00 am. The *********************** stated that I could not take my exam due to my state id being damaged. I asked her why when the other ******** accepted that same state id. I asked **** would my ***** be refunded back and she said that she did not know and that I would have to email them and someone would reach back out to me. Today I called the number back that **** provided and I spoke to a guy named ***** about the situation and he told me that my money would not be refunded and that inorder to take another exam that I would have to pay another ***** and that don't make any sense to me. I just want my money refunded back and I will take my business elsewhere because this is not right at all.Review fromJamie H

1 starMy son purchased an ***************** book and was told days later by his professor that everyone who purchased it should request a refund because the college has decided to cover the cost. After many chats and emails, he was told the refund had already been issued on Feb 10 and he should check with his bank and PayPal because Pearson considers the case closed. We dont have the refund, PayPal and the bank confirmed this and they do not have the right to just announce the case is closed without finding our refund. Luckily PayPal is filing a dispute and hopefully we will have our money back in the next 10 days which will be at least a month since we requested it. And we would never get it back if PayPal didnt intervene on our behalf. Our bank also offered to file the dispute but we had talked to PayPal first.Review fromDeclan L

1 starI have done other online proctored exams, and Pearson Vue is by far the worst. The company is full of terrible people with no empathy, they should be shut down and not allowed to operate
