I saw a rifle on their website I was interested in and sent no less than four messages over many days. They refuse to reply in any way. I googled and saw dozens and dozens of complaints that the people on the phone tell you what ever you want to hear to get you to place the order so I wanted a reply in writing but they won't do it. All I now read are complaints of bait and switch , changing the price after you order and so I applied for their so-called buy it on time option I have GOOD credit and what was I offered TO PAY OVER $100.OO A MONTH TO ********** THE ********* WHO *****S A ***** AND PAYS THE FULL ***** OFFERED TO BUY IT JUST TO ***** IT , HAD I NOT READ CLOSE IT WAS A ***** I COULD HAVE GOTEN SUCKED INTO THAT . BEEN BUYING GUNS FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND NO ONE *****S YOU A ***** FOR THE ***** OF THE ***** YOU THEN DONT OWN AT THE END OF THE ***** LIKE AN AUTO . STAY FAAAAAR AWAY !!!!! Dont bother to reply it will be soem nice sounding word salad that does not change any of this

We're sorry to hear ******* has had a difficult time trying to connect Guns.com. ******* is referring to a different website entirely, ******************* where a Guns.com firearm was listed. On a ****************** listing it says "Fill out the Contact Seller form below and youll receive a direct link via email to view and purchase this firearm..." ******* received this email from Guns.com, providing him with the option to buy the firearm. That email directed him to call ************ or email [email protected] if he had more questions. ******* did not reach out directly to guns.com. It sounds like ******* has some confusion around Guns.com listings.  Pricing is never changed on an order after its placed. We also don't have a "buy it on time"option, so we aren't sure if ******* was on guns.com when seeing this. It sounds like ******* is frustrated with financing options available to him. While Credova offers some financing options many of our customers appreciate,******* can certainly use his credit or debit card at checkout. We've attempted to call ******* to answer his questions but have not been able to reach him. We'd love to help and encourage him to call us back at ************ during our business hours of 7:30am - 6pm Monday - Friday.

I purchased a pistol from Guns.com online with a laser/light attached. They sent me a different gun, and the gun they sent was missing the laser/light. I was willing to keep the gun, but the retail price for the laser/light was $400, so I did a purchase adjustment on my credit card for that amount. Guns.com demanded I return the gun, which I did immediately. Guns.com claims they credited my account with the balance of $176.47, but my credit card company says that they didn't. This has been going on for months! I feel victimized and helpless in getting my money refunded.

    Business Response

We're sorry ***** didn't receive the firearm that he ordered. In the rare instances where there's an error with an order,we'll always be quick to correct the issue. We would have gladly offered a full refund or exchanged for the correct firearm. When ***** first notified us of the issue, he reported he had filed a chargeback with his bank for the majority of the firearm price, leaving a very small balance amount remaining . While we appreciate his attempt to problem solve, paying a fraction of the price for the new firearm was not a workable solution. The firearm has been returned and a full refund has been issued. If ***** has any additional questions, we're happy to speak with him.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/24/2023

I am rejecting this response because: Not only did Guns.com send a different model gun than what I ordered, the laser/light combo was missing. This laser/light has a retail price of $400, and that is the amount I charged back from my credit card. I took this action because Guns.com did not reply to my emails seeking assistance. Only after I reclaimed the $400 did Guns.com contact me, and their reply was for me to return the gun, which I did immediately. Then it took a long time for me to receive the balance of my refund, and it was posted only yesterday. My review of this company stands as written.

Sorry to hear ***** remains dissatisfied. The very first communication ***** had with our service team he informed us he had already taken matters into his own hands by filing a partial chargeback for his purchase, accounting for 78% of the list price. Again, we appreciate his desire to problem solve but pursuing a 78% discount on a firearm received is not a workable solution we'd agree to. Instead, we'd gladly get the correct firearm that he ordered sent. Our service team is always happy to help answer any questions and resolve any issues that *** arise, and can be reached at ************. If ***** still has any questions or concerns, we'd invite him to give us a call directly.

Bought an advertised NEW rifle from Guns.com (order# ******). Federal firearm licensed FFL dealer received on 8 Aug for transfer. I declined transfer at FFL for various reasons. Firearm remains in sellers name at FFL awaiting refund & return shipping label, which Guns.com is refusing although I sent photos of damage and proof it is USED & discussed 8, 9, 11 Aug on phone. FFL (who is a ********* *** noted during inspection that firearm had over 20 marks, gouges, and damage on wood stock, ******************* Unsecured next to firearm in box was unpadded metal padlock free to bounce around throughout shipping, impacting firearm & causing some of aforementioned damage. I bought package protection at checkout that stated If your package is lost or damaged in shipping, Guns.com will replace or refund in full. Padlock was encased in thin plastic bag which shows extensive damage at corners of padlock from it bouncing around box. ******** noted firearm had been shot after factory due to amount of unburned gunpowder in ******* ***** had NRA label on it showing it was given as prize at ************************** banquet; all indisputably making it a used gun. He provided me a report stating this. It is a used firearm misrepresented at time of purchase as new, has damage and wear from previous owner that could not have come from factory, & received damage during shipping due to negligent packing for which I purchased insurance from Guns.com. A full refund is in order particularly given it is used. I have supporting photos and report from gunsmith I can provide. Review of BBB website shows this practice (selling used as new) is not new to Guns.com. Wouldnt buy a used gun in such condition let alone a new one & neither would anyone else outside of getting scammed. Guns.com claims that all damage came from factory which is simply outrageous and that it is new which is laughable. Never seen such an overt scam in my life.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/22/2023

We're sorry to hear **** wasn't thrilled with his recent purchase. We've reviewed the photos of his firearm and determined that this firearm is new and in new condition. Very minor wear marks from basic function testing and test firing at the manufacture can happen and does not change a firearm's new condition. Additionally if a firearm is handled and the action is cycled, working surfaces may display minor signs of use. This also does not change a firearm's new condition.

As part of our guns.com promise, we work closely with a large network of FFLs around the country to ensure a safe and secure transaction that prioritizes their own inventory, supporting our nations gun stores and your local community. ****** rifle was shipped from one of our FFLs in our network and quite possibly was handled and the action had been cycled.  It's not uncommon for new firearms to be handled prior to being sold. This firearm was planned to be raffled at a *** banquet, but the banquet was cancelled and it was never included in a raffle. The *** tag on the box also does not change a firearm's new condition. If **** has any additional questions,we'd be happy to visit further with him.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/24/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

The marks are not minor and show many deep gouges (not scratches) through the bluing into the shiny metal of the barrel and into the wood stock. Basic function testing or handling does not account for this damage, but shipping damage does (at least partially), which they intentionally won't address, repeatedly. This despite the clear evidence in the photos that the lock was bouncing around unsecured in the box and you can see the damage to the thin plastic bag the lock was incased in. I specifically purchased their shipping insurance to avoid receiving a damaged gun, but they won't honor it. The fact that it has an NRA label on the box does in fact mean that it is used, particularly given the amount of fouling in the barrel. They did not address the vast amount of fouling in the barrel or the letter from my FFL/gunsmith clearly stating he had inspected it and found that it is used, but they looked at photos and found that opposite... what a joke. If it was new, someone was shooting it and was therefore no longer new when it was sent to me. I am not unhappy with my purchase, I am unhappy I have a damaged gun when I paid for a new gun. I am also unhappy I paid extra for shipping protection and they just ignore that aspect so they can offload a damaged gun onto an unsuspecting customer. I do not accept this inadequate response.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/26/2023

Sorry to hear **** remains dissatisfied. The photos that **** submitted did not reveal deep gouges in any way. As stated previously, ****** rifle was shipped from one of our FFLs in our network and quite possibly was handled and the action had been cycled.  It's not uncommon for new firearms to be handled prior to being sold. We don't feel the condition of a small plastic bag for a gun lock serves as clear evidence, but rather looking at the entirety of the shipment and condition of the firearm, which was closely reviewed. Again, having an NRA label on the box does not change a firearm's new condition. As previously explained, this rifle was planned to be raffled at an NRA banquet, but the banquet was cancelled, and it was not included in a raffle. This firearm is being recovered and returned to Guns.com. If **** has any further questions or concerns, we'd welcome a call from him. Our service team can be reached at ************.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/27/2023

I am rejecting this response because: The gouges have nothing to do with cycling the firearm. They state they dont FEEL the evidence is clear from sitting behind their desk looking at photos on a computer; while I and a FFL/gunsmith (expert testimony)have both inspected it in person and have both identified the same FACTS: 1) the heavy padlock was as a matter of FACT left unsecured in the box and was clearly bouncing around during shipment; 2) the plastic bag was as a FACT severely beat up showing it was bouncing around in the box during shipment (which is inevitable when not secured in any way during handling and transport); 3) as a FACT the gun has gouges and scratches in the metal and wood (that are consistent with being impacted by a heavy padlock bouncing around); 4) I in FACT purchased the package protection that Guns.com automatically charges customers for to protect from shipping damage with a full refund. Guns.com in FACT states: To provide greater safety, security and assurance for out customers, Guns.com now automatically includes package protection and If your package is lost or damaged in shipping, Guns.com will replace or refund in full. I have provided more than ample evidence for any reasonable and ethical person or business to conclude that Guns.com morally and legally owes me a refund; and 5) despite their claim, the gun box still has an NRA label on the FFL/gunsmith attested to there being no way it had not been shot post-factory and had never (in apparently decades) seen such extensive fouling in a new rifle including of the same manufacturer. While I purchased the rifle in good faith that it is new and undamaged, as well as the belief that Guns.com would replace a shipping damaged item based on their own website declarations and additional payments by me to insure it, Guns.com continues to take every effort to avoid their legal and moral obligations as one party to this transaction.

Bought a used weapon on guns.com. It finally came in yesterday. The weapon was missing a part that was included in both the photo and description of the weapon. I contacted guns.com support about it. I had a manager call me and tell me that the photo and description of the weapon I purchased was incorrect. Both the photo and description was not updated after this part was removed. I told the manager that I bought this used weapon on the basis that the information provided on their website was correct. He basically said I can either keep the weapon as is or return it. He said "the price of the gun had already factored in the missing brace, even though it wasn't updated on the website."I have already paid $35 for a transfer fee. I have paid $865 for a supressor and tax stamp with the *** on this weapon. I have spent almost $1000 extra for this weapon because I figured it would be what I purchased. Apparently Guns.com does not offer partial refunds and it didn't seem like they cared about my business as they weren't willing to work with me on a partial refund. The brace that was supposed to come on this gun is a $225 brace. I took that into consideration when buying. I am wanting a partial refund for ($225) this amount due to the fact I was told it came with it both on the photos and the description. If they are not willing to do that. I want them to pay me the $900+ dollars it cost me to get a tax stamp, supressor and transfer fee that I paid to have for this weapon. It is not right that i spent this amount of money and now my choices are tough luck or return the gun.I have all documentation on everything mentioned.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/07/2023

Sorry to hear ******* is disappointed with his recent purchase. With the recent ATF ruling pertaining to pistol braces, Guns.com could not sell and ship this firearm with a brace. Since the listing photo was not updated to reflect the firearm without the brace, a full refund was offered, and more than the $35 transfer fee was covered by guns.com. We have spoken with ******* since his BBB submission, and he's accepting of this resolution. If ******* has any additional questions, he's more than welcome to give us a call at ************.

I ordered a gun from Guns.com online, I had issue with their lack of return emails and never being able to reach them by phone but this is not my complaint, I finally after ordering the gun on July 2 received it on July 13. The gun was inspected by an FFL upon receiving it and was found to be damaged, the damage was not done during shipping, it was also noted by him and now me the gun was not a new gun, I ordered a new gun, this gun has obvious wear on it. This is beyond sound business practice, this is actually from a business point of view just snubbing their nose at a customer. On top of all this their fees as I found out are ridiculous, but I should have done more research on them I guess so my bad. I have contacted them on this issue but I have contacted them before and days later get a vague ridiculous reply. I am not waiting days for their reply this time, I want something resolved with them, I am in the right and they are not. Where I live it is very difficult to send items back and very costly, I would like a fair monetary refund for the damage and the fact that the gun has been used ( the picatinny rail on the gun has obviously had other optics on it, it is again obviously a used gun, but sold as a new one ). I have pictures of the damage and wear on the gun and have sent them to Guns.com which will go nowhere without assistance from BBB I assure you. Please help! *****

We're sorry to hear *****'s firearm didn't arrive in the condition it should have. Our promise is to provide a simple gun buying experience, and we missed the **** with *****'s order. Of course, we're happy to help resolve this matter. While we've recently had an influx of emails, our call volume has remained steady with little to no wait times and encourage ***** to call us at ************ any time he has an urgent matter. Our auto reply to confirm an email was received states "for urgent matters, please contact us at **************." We did not receive a phone call from ***** regarding his concern. ****** first four emails to us were cancel requests and status requests. A voicemail was left for *****, explaining we'd be more than happy to help resolve his concern and asked him to return our call. We hope to hear back from ***** soon.

On 19-Feb-23 I purchased a gun from guns.com under their advertised program of 90 day 0% interest program. I received an approval email from Credova, a few other automated responses and the purchase was completed, shipped, and received. Under no circumstance would I have agreed to nearly an $1800 payment on a $840.81 purchase. As I mentioned in the phone conversation. I am willing to work with the $840.81 amount only. On March 22, 2023 I accepted an offer #****** from Guns.com for my firearm. It was shipped on 3/22. It was received by Guns.com on 3/24. I made an offer on a handgun order number. ****** . On march 4th 2023 the seller accepted my order march 5th and I paid march 6th 2023 at 410 pm took the money out of my account and gave me a order confirmation a whole day goes by and I get a notice stating that my order was cancelled because someone bought it while I was checking out my purchase which cant be possible because I already got the confirmation that I purchased the firearm . I didnt even get a chance to even act upon said offer if someone can just pay for it while Im checking out to pay for it which is completely unfair as the seller agreed to my offer which I should have time to pay for my item. They cancelled my order then gave me some small 30 dollar coupon and that is not enough for this type of mistake at all

When we went to fulfil your order, our FFL partner did not have the firearm to ship. This is a lie as the email they stated told me that someone purchased this order as I was checking out even when the seller agreed to my offer that I sent . Whats the purpose of taking offers and accepting them if someone can just come around and purchase for the listed price  then you dont  even give the person a chance to buy the firearm for agreed price
