The week of March 28th, 2022 we hired Concrete Science to install a metallic epoxy coating to our basement floor. We paid ******* with a 5 year warranty. Due to it being in a basement, we shared concerns of failure due to water, both the salesman and their *************** assured us we would not have an issue with the use of a water vapor barrier and that we did not have standing water. That floor failed (water containing bubbles in the flooring). Concrete Science performed 3 individual water tests and sent their recommended waterproofer to examine for potential water intrusion. Tests came back within normal range, no notable water intrusion. Concrete Science met with us to come up with a plan to recoat under warranty. Second flooring installation occurred the week of November 4, 2022. Flooring failure occurred again and we made contact with Chase at Concrete Science on February 1st, 2023. Since we only had 1 bubble, decided to wait before preforming any additional warranty work. March 27th, 2023 we contacted ***** again to report that the floor had gotten much worse and continued to get much worse. ***** referred us to speak to the **** *****, who informed us they would no longer provide any additional work due to "bad concrete" and refused to give any refund as they were not convinced this had anything to do with workmanship. We consulted with multiple companies and hired a competitor to remove Concrete Science's installation (****** for removal) and reapply a metallic epoxy floor. The competitor told us this had nothing to do with our concrete and everything to do with product and installation. The new flooring has had zero issues.
