Got a letter threatening a garnishment for a credit card number I’ve never had. In fact they are claiming I owe money to a card company who just sent me an additional card and raised my limits! My current balance with them is ZERO on both cards!
This appears to be some sort of SCAM/FRAUD???
It’s Sunday so I’ll call them first thing tomorrow. And will let you know how they handle this NONSENSE!!Gurstel Law Firm, P.C.

It is time for victims of this law firm to stand up and form an agency to take on this company and their subsidiaries legally, in the courts. We need to file a class action, folks. If you are reading this, consider this. If we all put together a small sum of money, we might be able to fight back. These people will sue you for the debts of an ex-husband (divorced over 20 years ago), they will "sell" your debt to a small collection agency that they also own, and come up with items that are a complete mystery to you. If they find that you own property, for example you buy or sell a house, they will be on you like stink on a skunk. Nobody will come to your aid. The Federal Debts Collections and Practices Act is a law that supposedly protects the consumer, but this company and their subsidiaries do not follow the law. We also need to sign petitions that go before Congress asking for relief from these illegal practices.Gurstel Law Firm, P.C.

He was def not 5 10, did not look anywhere near 16... that is complete bs, I even called to see how many more payments and was never told about the fees, you set up the payment plan with the promise it would be paid in full and show satisfied at the end, this exactly why you are in constant litigation and have so many complaints... you knew the cost to file so why wouldn't that be in the arrangement? Why does it still show the original company is still owed on my credit? Again, it's your unethical practices, I paid thousands just to be told I still owe a year laterChet A

The fact remains that you continue predatory collections using unethical practices against people who are already experiencing financial hardship knowing they can't afford to go after your company... he wasn't 16, didn't appear 16 (the reason there's a cease and dicist on record) and to make matters worse gave said minor fuel to add to a parental custody battle... completely unacceptableReview fromJd D

Have no idea who or what this company is. Sent me a letter stating I owe over $7000 no account information and I've never had any type of credit for that amount. This letter and company is bogus just as the fraudulent debt. Unable to contact by ************** pany comes up as fraudulent when researched. Would give no stars, how does A fraudulent company harass me with fraudulent debt and collection. Company should be sued for harassment and fraudulent debt accounts that are non existing and never existed.Gurstel Law Firm, P.C.

This company is by far the worst company to deal with. They along with ***************** which hasn't been in business since 2009} sued me for a car that I gave back. I was NEVER invited to the court hearing so naturally they won the judgement. Judgement was in 2015. The car was given back in 2006. They NEVER should have won the judgment and they knew this. Long story short I am trying to offer a settlement they will never take less than 85% of what is owed. I have already pretty much paid this off. They are unwilling to work with people. They do this only because they can. It's really too bad that the court system is for the Companies and not the consumer. If it wasn't for ** none of them would have a job.Gurstel Law Firm, P.C.

My former employer was sent a garnishment letter in May 2022. I contacted Gurstel for payment instructions, went onto their payment portal and paid the agreed upon amount in full. Gurstel has now re-sent the garnishment August 2022 as if it was never paid. I contacted them, and they have no record of payment. They want me to send in my proof that it was paid. I don’t believe that I should provide any further proof unless they want to pay me by the hour to do their job for them. Now that I think about it, I will not be sending them anything.Gurstel Law Firm, P.C.

Thank you for notifying Gurstel Law Firm, P.C. of Complainants concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience Complainant has experienced while working with our office. The Firm has no record of the payment the Complainant states she made on the Firms website. The Firm would need proof from Complainant to show this payment was received by the Firm. The Complainant has requested that we cease all communication with her on her account. Therefore, we are unable to reach out to the Complaint for additional information. The Firm encourages Complainant to send in proof of the payment or contact an Account Representative at **************.M. M.

The representative I spoke with stated that per the notes on the account, the debt was cleared. I have in my possession a letter from the law firm stating that the above referenced account has been settled in full. Also enclosed was a copy of the Satisfaction of Judgement, dated May 16, 2022, which they state had been sent to the court for filing. I also have in my possession a Release of Garnishment dated May 27, 2022. The credit reporting agencies still show the debt as unpaid. It is not my responsibility to send the firm proof of their own communications and court filings. I will send copies of these documents to the ***************** office in *******, *******. Id say there is really something wrong with a company that cannot track a $2800 payment. Maybe this is something that the *** should also be made aware of, as well.Review fromRichard T.

1 starI was sued for 7,780 for past debits with citi bank. They forced 25%garnishment from your payroll. When that paid up. 3 weeks later. Another lawsuit for $196. Fees and interest. My employer paid that amount. And then they say now its $212. Im like why didnt you add that in first lawsuit Scamming fees at every lawsuit because they don’t know the fees
Guess my balance is $14. Watch more fees for lawsuit for 14 f’ing dollars. This place does not know how to run a good business. Bad attitude on phone call. They could not be accountability for thier mistake of first lawsuit and waited month later for fees and interest. Not my fault. Im doing your review. Call you next week to pay $14 balance you stupid law firm.
