I have been a customer of US Bank for over 12 years. I like banking with them overall. I also wanted to share positive feedback about an experience I had with one of their customer service agents, Ayaliah.
I was in a dire situation in which I needed to increase my daily transaction limits, and Alayiah from your customer service department helped walk me through the process. I was stressed out about not being able to access the funds initially, and not only did she explain the process to a non-tech savvy user in a very simple and easy to understand manner, but she also calmed me
down and rid me of the stress by affirming that she was going to help me and everything would be okay. That sounds like an easy thing to do, and saying those words are easy to say, but it was the way she spoke. She had a very calming demeanor over the phone, yet she exuded the confidence that let me know we were going to be able to fix the underlying issue and all would be resolved. She was very professional, yet also personable. During what was a stressful time for me, she actually made me laugh! I find too often these days that customer service has become scripts and canned verbiage, and she definitely connected with me on a human level in this technological era. I have no idea if this will ever reach the right department or person who cares about the quality of service that the customer service department gives, but I hope that Alayiah gets appreciated and valued for the level of stellar service she provides. Thank you Alayiah!

Do not use this bank. You will not be a “valued customer”, but rather a chump that they can use to make money. We were treated like crap and we had spent over $6,000 per year with their MasterCard for several years. When they failed to get an invoice to us for 2-2025, we found out on the 3-2025 bill. We always our bills in full when we get them and have done so with US Bank for over 10 years. They refused to waive the late charge and finance charges AND they put a hold on our card! I called again, explaining that payment is scheduled for 3/3/25 and the due date is 3/7/25. The idiot rep kept repeating that I had to make a payment today, 3/2/25 or they would not release the hold on the card for a measly $75 charge - despite our excellent payment history. I angered and told her that I would pay as scheduled and then cancel my account. She said: “Have a nice day.” What incompetent, money grubbing jerks.

U.S. Bank used to be a great bank, but now they are totally worthless. I maintain an average of $8,000 dollars in my checking account and every 6 months they dig down deep into their pockets to pay me one single penny worth of interest. They used to have three tellers to handle the drive through area and now they have one who takes care of both the commercial and one regular customer drive through lane. And today, Saturday, I go up to cash a check, only to find out that they are no longer open on Saturday. When are people who work Monday through Friday supposed to do their banking. They've already gutted the bank staff down to about 4 or 5 people and they have the nerve to call themselves a full service bank. U.S. Bank is garbage and I wouldn't recommend anyone to do their banking there.

US Bank doesn't have good customer service, I have my mortgage with them and I wish I could move it elsewhere. I was supposed to receive an escrow refund directly to my bank account but the link didn't work, when I called customer service I was told the money would be transferred to my account and surprise surprise it wasn't. I call back to the customer service and find out that they don't have the ability to send it directly to my account and they were unable to help me at all. I can't tell you how dissatisfied I am with their products and services.

I am a victim of bank fraud. The CEO, Lisa *****, closed my account with no reason. I reported fraud and she punished me. She did so without notice or warning. My account payments were all made in full. She harms women with her practices and victims of fraud. She is not professional. And she actually lied to me. Lying is not acceptable from a CEO level.
She tried to make me homeless. It’s not acceptable. She ruined my credit as well just because she has issues with women apparently. And victims.
This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with.
If you are a victim of fraud they will punish you!

I don't stand alone look at all platforms on reviews around the board horrible. I explained to this robot that thinks she is a manager that I would not be able to buy food to take my insulin, she said oh I am so sorry I can't just turn on overdraft $50 I am just a robot put on this call to read these lines to you, I have no power, not really those exact word but the true meaning. Please read all reviews may not be my situation that you can relate to but I am sure you will find something on everything like mortgages, fees, unknown charges these are things that I read. Please let's stand up against the corporate america that cares about nothing but profit. You get daily profit if it's enough money how much profit are they receiving with holding your money for 6 days. I am smart enough to know they are benefitting somehow are they wouldn't do it, but I am going to assist with getting to the bottom of them holding deposits for as much as 6 days.

Unfortunately I’ve been with this bank too long. They have this new program that if you overdraw you will get a notice to deposit money by a certain date and they’ll write off the over draft fees. DONT BELIEVE them! They lie! I saw the screen shot. Put the money in and the next day nothing. Nothing written off! They lie. DONT BELIEVE THEIR NEW PROGRAM!!! They lie!! I called the bank and they argued with me about it. Instead of just crediting my account. NOT THE FIRST TIME IVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS BANK!!

!!!AVOID THIS CREDITOR AT ALL COSTS!!! I would make a 0 star review if I could!
Unless you enjoy having your payments and credit held hostage for up to 21 days, spending hours on the phone just to get a different answer each time you call in, DO NOT use this creditor!!!!
I’m sure you’ve made payments on things online before, right? Every time you make a payment ANYWHERE you get a confirmation whether that be from an email, text, or app notification.
When I finally saw that my very first payment, of $76 was due, I decided to make not just a minimum payment, but to actually pay $975.
The very next day, my checking account was billed for a $975 payment, and a $1000 payment. My credit limit still didn’t update, and I still didn’t get an email confirmation that a payment was made.
At this point, my checking account was overdrawn, so I called US Bank’s customer support line. I spoke to a friendly female rep who said “no problem at all! I’ll reverse the $1000 payment as you didn’t intend to make it. You should have your credit limit updated in less than 48 hrs, and your checking account will be refunded right away”.
Unfortunately, this was far from the truth. My checking account was refunded the following day, but still no credit limit update.
The following day, my checking account was billed AGAIN for $1000 even though they already refunded it. Why was it billed AGAIN??
Absolute nightmare company to work with. Everybody gives a different answer. Half of them hang up on you. Nobody understand what’s going on with your file. The app apparently asks for money when you don’t even have a payment due(??) and it will take many, many hours to resolve anything when you inevitably run into issues here.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!! I wish, so badly, that I read the reviews on this company before going with them. I could’ve had an AmEx or Chase credit card. NIGHTMARE COMPANY!!

US Bank is not a good credit card choice. If fraudulent charges appear on your account, they ignore it and mishandle it as a dispute, which leads to nowhere. I had a $3,500 charge on my account on November 14, 2024. When I noticed it on November 16, 2024, I contacted US Bank immediately. They promised to take care of it, yes, they handled it wrongly by favoring the thugs rather than an honest US citizen. Then they demanded payment in December, which I did promptly. To this day US Bank owes me the $U3,500 as I had issued a check payment to them. Their excuse is I had given credit card information. I give credit card information to my utility provider, to my auto insurance, to my cable provider, to my water utility, etc. but that doesn't mean they can charge my credit card without authorization. In fact, US Bank has my checking account information, again they cannot draw money from that account unless authorized. US Bank made a mistake and now they roll the fault onto the customer. They are holding my money, which I consider is stealing.
