      Absolutely the worst company.Firstly, be warned that if you call customer service, the expected time on hold is 2-3 HOURS. Secondly, do not do the call back function, as they will hang up on you, and you end up wasting 5-7 hours. Note, this has happened three times. I am in the process of taking partial withdrawal on a policy. It has been over three weeks with getting the money with no communication. it is unclear as the processes that this company uses, as sometimes the "encrypted" emails are automatically caught/marked as Viruses/Spam/ or potential threats.They're forcing you to call and the ** line, which is fine if it was adequately resourced. An FTC complaint is also going to be filed, as I, and half my family have life insurance policies with this ridiculous, blurring the lines of fraud, of an institution. That withdrawal was requested for an emergency. Deeply disappointed,**************

      Terrible customer service if in fact they have customer service. Whenever calling, you are told there is a 2 hour wait and if you try and leave a number for call back you get a message that the phone number you entered is invalid and disconnect the call. They apparently do not want of give out basic information like where to mail payment. They apparently want everyone to go online to make a payment which I refuse to do. I got this company through Select Quote years ago and it has done nothing but decline. It is listed as part of Voya. With such lousy customer service for life **********************, I would certainly not use the investment services. They apparently want to insure only young people, as these tactics are designed to discriminate against older policy holders.If ****, Relastar or Resolution Life are recommended, RUN! away from these companies..

      Based on my experience, the older you get the slower they are to send out a payment notice. They wait until if virtually is too late to get the payment in before the grace ****** ends, hence the policy lapses and they get to keep all the premiums paid to date with no obligation to pay out if the person dies. I keep a reminder in my bill pay, know when my annual payment is due and never let it lapse....regardless if they send a notice or not. I will be speaking to the ******* Insurance ******************** tomorrow, as this is a sleezy way to do business!

      Reliastar is a criminal company. I have paid an annual $3300.00 premium for 32 years for a $250,000 life insurance policy. My payments are not in dispute. I was notified in October of 2023 that my policy was terminated for lack of payment of $4618.42. (I was never notified about a raise in premium.) The company says that each payment now covers three months only. Thy have raised the annual premium to over $18,000.00 a year. That's insane. I spoke to **************** and was told it was too expensive for the company to cover my policy at my age of 88 as the policy now has no cash value. (Ten years ago the cash value exceeded $51,000.00.) I am now out the more than $108,000.00 I have paid in premiums, and have no life insurance at all. I desperately need an attorney in the ** area who specializes in such fraud.

      NOV 2022 my husbands life insurance was due. We paid it OVER THE ***** but our policy was cancelled. We kept calling & we were constantly told by each person we spoke to that there was no payment. We insisted we paid, gave them the date ******************* but they said no proof. FINALLY, ****** LATER we spoke to someone who explained that she can see we made the payment but the agent did not process it so it elapsed. I asked, knowing it was your mistake, if my husband died yesterday would you pay & we were told NO! We paid it, they did not charge us fees but they still made us pay the months we were not covered. they said they would look into putting it towards next payment IT'S ALMOST NOV AND so far THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO MAKE THEIR MISTAKE RIGHT!

      Terrible customer service. Trying to collect on my mother's policy after her death and getting the run around. A second policy she had, they let lapse on purpose. These reviews are correct. Very corrupt and unethical company. They don't send renewal notices. They changed the due date and didn't notify us. My mom has paid these premiums for over 20 years and they drop you like a hot potato. So sad that they are scam artists. Wait times are long. Get ready for them to give you the run around and waste your time and energy.

      Worst experience ever. When I quit my job, I don't have money to pay the premium. So when they sent me bills, I called Voya Financial, emailed pdservice at voya.com, told them I want to discontinue their service. I still getting bills and if I don't pay, it's Automatic process as loan. How in the world, insurance become a loan. I have a simple mind, when you don't pay the insurance, simply we don't get coverage anymore. Why is it that hard to just end/ terminate this service?!?!?

      My company is a long-time Life Insurance Customer of **********************-********************** Life **********************. We are currently dealing with a lost check issue. If it is not resolved in 2 weeks we will be contacting the ********* Commissioner of Insurance who regulates all types of Insurance sold in **.Every state has a Commissioner of Insurance so if a customer is having an ongoing problem with any type of insurance company they will help you.

      Have the sane issues since they changed their payment address and collection system. Have paid fir a nu.ber of years with no issues. They just stink now. Do not buy Voya Financial or Reliastar products. They are the worst company and still not resolving the issues of taking money and saying they haven't received payment.

      I mailed a personal check for my premium in May 2023. Reliastar **** said they did not receive it. I had a second direct payment check sent straight from my bank. Reliastar **** said they did not receive it. With a life insurance policy set to lapse by the end of June, I gave Reliastar Voya the information for a direct electronic withdrawal, thus paying the premium for a third time. After taking in the direct electronic withdrawal, Reliastar Voya went on unannounced to cash the two checks - one the very next day and the other in early July. The net result was that I had paid the premium three times from my bank account in less than a month. One might have thought they would not have cashed the two checks now suddenly found. Four emails to straighten out this mess over nearly two months went unanswered. Ten telephone tree phone calls left the matter unfixed. Reliastar Voya kept telling me that it was my responsibility to prove that I had paid them three times, as if they did not have an accounting office, and despite the fact that I had indeed repeatedly given Reliastar Voya all necessary transaction information. I finally notified Reliastar Voya that I was filing a formal complaint with the ********* ********** of ********* I did so and sent Reliastar Voya the case number. Reliastar Voya quickly acknowledged their error in taking in three payments for one life insurance premium and promised to refund two payments. I'm currently waiting to see if those two payments arrive in **** business days, as promised. I've never encountered a situation where a business took in repeated payments while telling the customer it was their responsibility to prove it.
