1 starI custom-ordered two ProVia storm doors from Hoffman Weber, to be installed at a cost of just over $5000 for the pair. I waited 7 weeks for the doors to be delivered.
My front door is acceptable, although the added “Art Glass” design looks pretty cheesy, like I had applied it myself with a plastic paint pen.
The second door that I ordered is completely unacceptable. The chief requirement for this door was that have a pet door. I was assured that they had what I needed. The first door delivered was not at all what I had ordered, and was sent back.
Hoffman Weber sent me a new spec for reordering the door, and now said that ProVia could NOT provide what I originally asked for. I agreed to order a 3/4-light door without a pet door, and that I would install an after-market pet door myself.
7 weeks later, it arrived, and was completely unsuitable for installing a pet door, the bottom panel being much too small to fit a pet door of any size. I stated before ordering that I’d need at least 16” of panel in which to put the pet door, but the door was ordered in standard dimensions and will not work for its intended purpose.
In addition, the window slide on the door arrived broken, with a six inch strap of sharp, heavy metal protruding from the frame. ProVia eventually sent someone to fix the defect, but cut the door frame to do the fix. The door is back together and the window now slides up and down, but the structural integrity of the door has been compromised.
The door also arrived with several nicks and scratches already present in the exterior paint, and with the wrong lock on the handleset.
I communicated all this to my contact at Hoffman Weber, and have yet to have my concerns addressed. It has been nearly five months since I put in the original order, and I still do not have a back door that works for me.
While I have paid off the $5000 balance of my contract, I am extremely unhappy with the customer service and the product that I have received.Review fromPAUL C

5 starsMy house was needing an exterior update. The lap siding on the 1976 frame was looking terrible. I got the usual three quotes and Hoffman Weber Construction was my choice. The sales rep Tim ******* went through the details of the procedure and helped with some ideas for curb appeal. A project coordinator sent a email with dates detailing start to finish information. The job site supervisor Jesse ******, stopped by the day before to make sure there were no foreseen problems. The project started with old siding tare off and barrier wrap on Monday, Tuesday through Thursday the new siding went up, and the last day was painting. The siding crew worked very efficiently installing the product they were apparently factory trained to install. They also repaired a few existing structure flaws that needed some attention. They completely cleaned up the area every day before leaving. The painting crew came and did a great job to complete the exterior upgrade. Vary happy with the results.Review fromRudolph S

Anytime we had questions, Jesse, the project manager, quickly returned calls, answered all questions, and immediately took care of any problems. The workers worked long days and did a fantastic job. Hoffman Weber construction did a roofing job for me in Cape Coral FL. A man by the name of Don ****** represented himself as an employee of Hoffman Weber even giving me a business card with the Hoffman Weber logo. The job went smoothly, I had to make an additional payment for small things that came up but overall went good. I went out of town while they were finishing and a pile of shingles was left in my yard. I was assured they would be gone and they sat for another month with promises of tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, and it never happened. I had to pay $800 to get them removed and sent the invoice I received to Hoffman Weber and Donny for reimbursement. I again was assured that I would get the payment but now 2 months later communication has been lost and leaving this review is my only option.

***** did not have a contract with HWC. He signed direct with *********** LLC and made all his payments through the **** *** was very clear in many emails to ***** that HWC was not involved in anyway. Out of good faith HWC did send ***** $750 because ******************* was our former employee and was no longer responding. This review should be removed as this was resolved.Review fromKannan V

They went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the final result, taking the time to address any specific preferences or concerns I had. Their dedication to delivering a superior customer experience is truly commendable and speaks volumes about their integrity as a company. Thank you to JB for helping with all the planning and documenting of what was needed to get our finished project. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed in your customer experience. Based on the name used for this review and customer profile, the terms of the roofing contract have been completed. The homeowner in this case is withholding payment because they want an answer on the siding supplementation which was not included in the original roofing contract. The current amount due for the roofing product, installation, and labor is delinquent. As we have explained to this homeowner, the insurance contract the homeowner signed was for the roof only; the siding and the gutters were listed as Work Not Doing, as the siding was only partially approved by insurance on one elevation. Our sales team member was attempting to supplement to get the remainder of the siding but stopped once the homeowner shared that they would not be paying their bill until the entire siding was supplemented. We simply cannot proceed with another contract if a homeowner is deliberately withholding payment on a current contract.Wed be more than happy to serve them with their siding needs once the roofing bill is addressed.Review fromJill P
