    Minnesota Dept. of Commerce Consent Order

    On September 20, 2024,  the business entered into a Consent Order with the (name of agency or court). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business: failed to disclose that the appraisal report was a reevaluation and failed to identify the areas of difference or the reason for the changes, in violation of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Standards Rule (SR) 2-1 (a) (2020) and Minn. Stat. § 828.195 Subd. 2 (5) (2024); and failed to accurately report the characteristics of the property and comparable properties, a violation of USPAP SR 1-1(c), SR 1-4 (a) (2020), Minn. Stat. §§ 82B.195 Subd. 3(1)(i), 82B.20 Subd. 2(5), and 826.20 Subd. 2 (6) (2024); and failed to accurately apply adjustments to the comparable properties, violation of USPAP SR 1-1 (a)(c), SR 2-1 (a) (2020), Minn. Stat. §§ 828.20 Subd. 2(S), and 826.20 Subd. 2 (6) (2024); and failed to maintain a complete workfile, a violation of USPAP Record Keeping Rule (2020) and Minn. Stat. § 828.071 Subd. Z (2024).


    Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to pay a penalty of $4,000.00; complete education courses within 90 days of the Order; cease and desist from violating any laws, rules or orders under Minnesota Department of Commerce Authority and pay $675.00 in investigation costs. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the below link.
