1 starCalled for repair of garage door spring. Tech showed up quoted $900 - $300 labor, $89 tube and lube $419 set of springs, $39 service fee and $150 to replace the plates. Gave the go ahead, called my husband to confirm. Husband said he got a call back from another company and was give price of $350 at most. Husband called tech back in about 5 minutes and told him to stop the work we found someone else for significantly less. Tech claimed he had already dis assembled the whole door and wanted $200 for his time. Refused payment. We have been getting phone calls, letters and text messages from “Jacob” in collections demanding we take care of or will take us to court and it will cost thousands. Sent a screen shot in a message that we are stealing. Many other reviews similar to my situation. When you google Superior Garage Door in St Cloud has a local address but a metro phone number listed. Drove to that address and no superior garage door at location and other business around the address said don’t know who they are. Other garage door company we used for the service also had never heard of them AND stated no way replacing springs should be $900 even with new plates. 2 starsSeptember 24, 2022 After 3 visits and half a dozen phone calls during the past 4 weeks, we are still waiting for our refund of $299.99. We hired Superior Garage Door Repair - Eden ********************** to look at 2 garage doors. One opened and closed smoothly, so that was a preventative maintenance check. The other would get stuck in the process and necessary repairs were requested. The door was only partially repaired. VISIT 1 On August 11, 2022, a repairman replaced the operator bracket and one vertical track on this garage door. We paid $351 and he left a written receipt detailing services performed. VISIT 2 The door continued to get stuck and he came again on Friday, August 19, 2022. We did not expect to pay again because the problem they were hired to fix had not been solved, but a payment of $299.99 was demanded and received even though no parts had been used or labor performed during his 20 minute visit. No written receipt was given. Later that day, the door continued to get stuck. Both my husband and I called to request a refund. VISIT 3 A supervisor returned on Sunday, August 21, 2022. He noticed issues that the repairman had missed and he did not understand why we were charged a 2nd time. He offered to make additional repairs for a discounted fee or be refunded. We requested a refund. After he left, my husband saw something that neither the repairman or supervisor noticed. The side seals had been painted over, causing friction when opening and closing the door. He used paint stripper to remove the paint and now the garage door no longer sticks or shows an error of excessive force on our opener.Review fromDavid B

Ridiculous pricing for parts. $149.99 for a pair of 7ft cables ($9.55 on Amazon) and $174.99 for a pair of bottom brackets ($12.98 on Amazon). Blamed covid and supply chain issues.Superior Garage Door Repair

Hi ***** I'm sorry our prices did not meet your expectations but we do not sell retail like you can find online. Those online prices are not the same quality of parts a service company can get and they also do not include, labor, any type of warranty, or a trained professional to install which we do offer with our services. Our technicians go over pricing and details before providing any type of work.David B

Stating that pricing of parts includes labor and a trained professional to install, and then also charge for labor is a bit disingenuous, and then by definition would be considered double dipping of your charges.I doubt that the parts you get as a service company are 10x the quality as they are not made of gold. I just want to inform others of your pricing and fair warn them before you come out and at the minimum collect a service fee after being asked to leave when shown the work order.
