On September 3, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The Consent Order settles allegations that the business charged a fee to hold and administer the escrow associated with the sale of property in Minnesota; did not receive a paid receipt when disbursing the escrow funds as agreed to in the sales contract; and failed to disburse funds according to the written directions of the parties, a violation of Minn. Stat. § 82.75, subd. 5(d)(2).
Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to pay a civil penalty of $500.00, cease and desist from violating any laws, rules or orders under Minnesota Department of Commerce authority and pay investigation costs of $225.00.
