July 20, 2022 we drove **** miles to ********* from ************** to attend a family reunion, the week of July 22 - July 30th. We reserved a 2021 24ft Gulf Stream 24ft motorhome that sleeps 6. Reservation #*******, Rental #******, from Midwest RV Rentals, *****************************************************, *************. We went to pick up RV morning of July 22, 2022 about 10:30ish Drove about 64 miles, started getting dark, my husband signaled me to turn on my lights, we pulled over and realized their were no rear lights working, texted Midwest RV informed him we were dropping RV back to the pick up location, sent him photo showing no rear lights. had to stay in hotel nearby in hopes to get RV back in the morning. after arriving back to get RV, owner told us he had to take vehicle in to **** to repair and they wouldn't be open til Monday, it's Saturday, we incurred two more nights in hotel. We didn't hear back from Midwest RV at all on Monday, but noticed he had applied another charge on my card for $478.80 on Monday, I texted Midwest and he again lied to me, about the charges. I paid Midwest RV Rental, through Outdoorsy's platform portal a total of $3378.50, when I called and texted to refund me they told me 7 days, then each time I contacted them they stated they were still investigating my claim. It's been since July 26th and no refund, just excuses. nonetheless we missed out on the family reunion.

My family and I planned a camping trip for next week so we elected to reserve a camper late 8/7 (after business hrs). At 8:30 the next morning I found out my son tested positive for Covid and we had to cancel the trip. I immediately contacted Midwest RV rentals and asked them to cancel the reservation. The gentleman told me he would not do it and I owed him over $1000. No goods or services have been traded. I am simply asking that he refund my credit card. There has been nothing done on his part. I am simply trying to protect my family and the health of others. At one point I offered to pay a cancellation fee which he declined. I felt that I was being extremely fair, at this point I would just like to be refunded the full amount. Thank you.
