    Signed a contract to build a pole barn, frame siding and roof , was done and paid in full for what was done,and he just left the job.he quite the job w out finishing it

    We finished what we were paid for, we only take progress payments. Complaint is about us returning to do additional stages of work. Building package and all materials were ordered by owner. Building was designed and ordered by owner and supplier without contractor input. Materials were scheduled to be delivered March 23. Material package was postponed approximately 3 weeks due to owners material supplier.     Material supplier delivered package, telehandler was rented by contractor and delivered to set trusses. Material supplier did not send enough trusses. After approximately 3-4 weeks remaining trusses were delivered by owners supplier. This order of trusses were a different size and style, we said we can order new or make them work but they will look somewhat off. Owner wanted to push ahead so we provided additional bracing blocking etc. to try to make the trusses work. By this point we were into our busy season. Conversation with owner about us not being able to finish sheet metal quickly because of scheduling issues. Said to owner we can come back in 2-3 weeks for metal or you can use another guy we know. Owner signed contract with other metal installer for less than originally agreed upon. Owner no longer had us contracted for sheet metal. Sheet metal installer installs metal, building package metals were missing. Order for custom color metals took 2-3 weeks to get in. At this point we were having the conversation we don’t know when we will be able to start plumbing. Building shell almost complete, additional custom color materials were missing another 2-3 weeks. Building package delivery scheduled March 23rd, final materials provided by owner delivered August 8th. Had the conversation with the owner we are not totally sure when we will be able to return. Had another conversation it would be up to 6 weeks before we can return at full throttle for additional work that we had not been paid for yet. Owner said he already has someone finishing it.
