We used Eco Safe (ES) last fall when remediating our home as the enviromentalist to oversee things. We started with one company & while they were pulling up the hardwood, ES approved their plan of encapsulating mold on the sub floor. This is not recommended when something with mold can be structurally replaced. We ended up having to change remediators and ES recommended **** *** *********** (**). ** provided a remediation plan/contract. This contract exceeded what you would want in a company to do. It showed who's guidelines they follow. The 1st one is the IICRC S50 which is the gold standard, however, they did include a few others (recently found out some contradict). ** stated they would set up negative air pressure and contain every point of entry in our home (meaning every room would have containment in the door to protect the room from cross contamination). It said any wood that could be removed with mold would. ** came in and never used negative air pressure and they never contained every point of entry. They only contained my master and it was never contained well. They had me rent a POD to put my furniture in it to protect it while remediation was in place. It was never used. They did my HVAC and cleaned my furniture before the remediation. Wrong order. They then remediated my storage room and never removed wood with mold on it that could have been, left wood with mold that they didn't clean at all and just put Fiber lock over it and had wood w/o mold that Fiberlock was never put on. HVAC never protected in that room. They sanded some wood but never protected my HVAC and never removed the contents of the room while doing all of this. ES was aware and approving all of these things bc they have to come back and inspect. ES did clearance testing w/o checking whether small particle cleaning was done right so samples were contaminated. ES disappeared & no longer responds to this day. My house ended up being 3 times worse due to severe cross contamination.
