I'm sorry but I'd have to agree with everything Pat A. said, because we had very similar experiences to hers.

The main reason I’m writing this is to advise others of what happened to our beloved cat at this clinic and hope this will prevent it from happening to others.

We started taking our cat, who was in great shape, to them on a regular basis towards the end of 2022 and spared no expenses until he passed away recently in 2024. In the end he was skin and bones and so weak he could barely stand up. They ran many tests (expensive) on him, and were going to run more, but they didn’t find the problem and he still died under their care and they don’t know why.

I don’t know why this clinic is not endorsed by the Better Business Bureau after all these years, but maybe there is a good reason.

As a long time customer of Antioch Dog & Cat Hospital I have seen changes. They have grown adding more Vets. This being said, I have ALWAYS felt comfortable going here. The front desk staff especially Christina M has always provided me with helpful, useful information. She has demonstration to me that she is a compassionate, knowledgable and valuable resource of information. She has celebrated with me when we adopted two kittens, and she has consoled me when we had to have our two older cats put to sleep.

I totally understand the changes that have been made at this facility. In today's society, it is important to keep your business relevant by keeping up with current technology. Unfortunately, not every one is Techy...and change can be hard. But at Antioch Dog & Cat Hospital you CAN still call and reach a real person to talk to.

Thank you to the entire team! I for one appreciate you being there!!
    Sincerely,
    Terri (Stella and Luna)

I'm not sure what has happened here, but they don't seem to care much now. They don't reply to any form of communication now. The main reason I took my pets in recently was not addressed. My pet was not eating much and I had to call them back days later to get a response for an appetite stimulant. I never have received a response to my questions via email or call. This has happened a couple of times
recently. The vet I had been seeing was very rude, cold, and hurtful a few months ago when telling me one of my pets needed euthanasia. They had failed to properly diagnose him with cancer. They have charged for exams when no exam was needed for another pet. I have brought all of these issues to their attention and never received an apology or any attempt to correct the problem, just excuses. It's very distressing that the vets show little concern for the animals or my concerns. My pets have serious, chronic problems that are apparently worsening, despite my keeping up on exams/lab work. They don't call with reminders as they promise to. Luckily, I put reminders in my calendar. They also put in an order for meds at an online pharmacy which charges a lot for shipping and takes several days to receive much needed meds when they have the same meds in the clinic for pick up. Maybe they tend to ignore clients who bring mistakes to their attention. They won't admit fault and upon reading other reviews, I see that no one apparently ever gets an apology or an attempt to make it right. I guess they're not losing enough clients to care. I've been going here for years and given them multiple chances. Now, it's more than obvious that I need to find another place for the care of my babies. Sadly, Antioch is more concerned with money than helping animals or their families.
