Better Business Bureau is advising consumers to use caution when considering doing business with AutoProtect USA. BBB has received a pattern of consumer complaints alleging misleading advertising, failure to cover needed repairs, failure to remove consumers from mailing and no-call lists, high pressure sales tactics, failure to cancel contracts, failure to provide refunds and poor customer service.
On April 19, 2023, BBB sent a letter to AutoProtect USA. The company responded to BBB on October 30, 2024. The company states they have restructured key roles within the organization, replacing leadership in Customer Experience, Customer Service, and Marketing, resulting in substantial improvements, including reducing customer refunds. To address customer feedback, the company introduced a Policy Advisor role to ensure transparency, and a streamlined refund process. They have added enhanced training, quality assurance programs, and stricter disciplinary measures to improve adherence to updated policies and customer service standards. Additionally, they claim they are ensuring customers clearly understand their agreements through audits and email confirmations.
