I bought a used car and had it for about a year
and the plugs for the trailer had been smashed
I called to fix it and they guy told me it would be a  45 dollar diagnostic fee.  I told him to call me once he found out how much it would be.  They worked on it on Monday and they were suppose to call me back but they did not. I picked it up and noticed that they charged me 173.20 dollars in labor to install 2 fuses and a plug which was a total of 6.69 dollars. They gave me a work order receipt that  I never signed.  This price needs to be removed from my total bill.  I never authorized this charge and did not sign any work order that says I agreed to pay this ridiculous amount for the labor of installing 2 fuses.

Attached is a copy of the call log for August 14th, you will notice we was in contact with him 7 times, the longest time being 17 min.  So yes, we did contact him several times  to discuss his vehicle and its issues.  He told us when he made the appointment to change the 4 way flat in the back of his vehicle and if that didn't work to figure out why.  We advised him that our labor rate $145 an hour not $45....not sure how he is coming up with that.  We changed the plug as requested and it did not work.  So per his approval earlier in the conversation, we figured out why it didn't work while running diagnostics.  That he had two blown fuses located in the power distribution box.  We changed the fuses and retested the plug and everything worked as it should.  The additional time, came from the diagnostics.  We then contacted Mr Perett and explained the repairs.  He came in to pick up his car we went over the bill again, he paid the invoice with a credit card and left.  Then two or three hours after that he called back ranting and raving about the bill.  He's called us liars, crooks and that we took advantage of him.  We have already talked with his credit card company with him on the phone...him again calling us names.  The Credit card company sided with us and no refund was issued.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

when I took it over there they said they charge $45 to analyze the problem.  There is a plug on the back of the car, the car is about 15 years old, and I told the service advisor that the plug had been mashed.  I didn't know it until I tried to use it.  I wanted them to tell me how much it would cost to fix it and he said he would call but he never called me once to tell me about the repair.  I didn't give him permission to fix anything.  There is no reason it should have taken more than 10 minutes to fix it.  He never called me at all.  I saw the bill and they charged me $15.

    Sincerely,
