I am contacting you regarding accounting for All About Animals which I have spent hours on the phone with your customer service trying to resolve. We have 4 Credit Memos which have not been applied to our statement dated 5/21/25 nor the current invoices. I am trying to pay our bill but your statements to your customers only show outstanding invoices and no credits. No one in customer service can tell me where these credit memos are applied. It seems as though your company is hiding your customers credits. Can someone over there please fix this and send me a correct bill? or put it on my web portal where it does not appear either. For approximately the last 3 months, the Hair and Skin brand of canned wet cat food has consistently been found to be partially spoiled when the cans are opened. The top layer is a greyish hue, indicating that air is able to enter the can during or after sealing. I have purchased 12 cases of 24 cans each over the past 3 months, and every can has been found in the condition described above.Business Response

I purchased 20 bags of Adult Yorkie dry food (I have 7 yorkies), I like to purchase enough to last close to a year since I live in a remote location and since I have so many dogs I would need to constantly need to get food, and always feel like its good to be prepared. As soon as the order arrived today (5/8/2025) I saw that every single bag had expiration of October 2025 this year (within 5 months). There is absolutely no way I will get through these in 5 months. I have purchased directly from Royal Canin website previously and the expiration was well over a year. They say their dry food has 18 months shelf life after packaged so this means they sent me an order of 20 bags that has been sitting in their warehouse for ************************************************************************************************************ feel stupid for doing that. She even chuckled that the fact I said she was being of no help by replacing it with bags with a longer expiration. I have been able to locate several communications (phone recording, chat and email) with you and another person regarding this situation. I've identified 2 orders placed for a total of 20 bags; 1 order in August 2024 for 10 bags on one account and 1 order placed May 2025 on a separate account. At this time, your request for a refund or replacement cannot be honored as the product you have is outside of our replacement/refund policy since it is not near its expiration date. Please know that our warehouses and distribution centers will not send out product that is within 30 days of its expiration date. Since you are a member of our D2C program you can adjust your auto shipments to fit the ideal timeframe to receive food for your pets. Royal Canin produces a type of prescription cat food called Ultamino that has been out of stock for months and has provided no information around what causes the outage, or when the product will be back in stock. Calls to customer service representatives are met with scripted responses to try a different type of diet, which is not an acceptable option as the cats that use this type of food have severe allergies. Cats have died due to the lack of urgency on restocking this product and communication regarding the issue has been essentially non existent. At this time, we still dont have a confirmed return date for the feline Ultamino formula. The delay is due to ongoing shortages of the high-quality raw materials required to produce this diet. Please know our Supply Chain and Production teams are working with urgency and care to resolve this, because we know how important this food is to pets like yours.

The information I am looking for is regarding the website for your business and who carries the dog food. For example, ******** is listed on your site but they do not have this product. Pet supply plus, as another example, has stated that they haven't carried this dog food for 10 years. I have spoken with managers at these locations and they have stated that they haven't carried it for a long time. Royal Canin offers a $30 rebate towards medicinal dry dog food. My dog has been on a renal diet for over a year. I tried to get the rebate however, the company representative stated that they only offer coupons or rebates for non-medical products. Also, the rebate applied only to Canadian residents and does include medicinal products.Business Response

My Guinness has been eating royal canin pr wet and dry for years. It is the only good he can eat, hes suffers from IBD. The past two months he has been getting ill from the food. I tried another limited ingredient rabbit food and he tolerated it so I know he hasnt developed an allergy to rabbit. I suspect Royal canin changed their formula without warning or has a quality issue. People in my IBD support group are experiencing the same issue with royal canin. Their cats, like mine are throwing up, having terrible diarrhea and weight loss. This company is poisoning our pets!! They need to be investigated.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because Royal Canin is having a quality issue with their manufacturing/ingredients and is not publicly admitting it nor doing anything about it. Pets across the country are getting sick all at the same time. The issues started this year around late winter/spring. There is an online consensus of pet owners of IBD cats having issues with RC food when previously, in cases for years, had been eating the food just fine. Its terrifying for this niche of consumers because we dont have many or in my case next to none other options of food to feed our IBD cats. I want Royal Canin to take the complaint seriously and investigate why iBD kitties are being triggered all of a sudden starting earlier this year to their prescription food. Something is being added to cause the flare *** peoples IBD cats are experience. There is a woman in our group whose cat actually died.

Purchased the Royal Canin specialized diet food for my dog ********************* On the second back, he stopped eating it and we had to switch to normal renal food. The Hyrdolyzed renal has a bad odor to it. I contact support, but they told me to call Petsmart where I purchased it. This report is re: Royal Canin's Low fat GI canned dogfood. We order 2 cases (24 cans) every month from Chewy for our 9lb Yorkie. The trouble started in Oct 2023. The product was thick and gluey, our chronically ill dog wouldn't eat it. I sent an email to Royal Canin with pics, no response. Same problem again around December, ***** replaced all those cases. Around January of 2024 received products that were extremely wet, ''fluffy" and gray in color, and our dog would only eat these if she was extremely hungry. For months of Feb/March 2024 same product, same reaction from our dog. I thought the reason the dog would not eat was because of her illness. She was looking emancipated , her spine was visible from not eating. Well, we got a case of 'normal' Royal Canin low fat dogfood for ***** and suddenly our dog was eating like 'normal', she loved the dogfood, was excited to eat unlike the previous 3 months and has been gaining weight back after going down to 8 lbs. This is when i realized the recent 4 cases of Royal Canin Low Fat GI dogfood quality was inferior. I am now working on transitioning her to a different brand. This dogfood not only cost a lot of money but has cost our dog's health, and caused so much stress trying to feed our dog. I had thought and almost did put our dog down because i couldn't feed her quality food that she needs because of her health issues. i went to Royal Canin's website on 4/13/24 to write a review and saw 5 other reviews with same experience of poor quality food. Today, 4/15/24, I went to their website to see if they published my review and found that they not only did not publish it, but they also buried those recent poor reviews. Shame on them. They should have a perfect product at the price they charge and their years in business. I'm writing this as a warning to present and future pet owners to save them the grief we've had.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: they responded as expected using a template excuse. They can read reviews on their own website and or Chewy's to see how their product is actually doing. There's already been complaints about the last batch from customers on both sites. Again, shame on them for abusing their customer's trust and causing so many pets to be sick, it's obvious they don't care by putting out those inferior products, over and over. So my question to them is this: Do you no longer have a Quality Control Dept? If you do it would be a good idea to address the incompetence there.

We filed a complaint two times with Royal Canin letting them know that something was wrong with the dog food called renal support D canned food with the best by dates of January and February of 2026. Even our vet smelled the food and agreed that something was wrong with it. They have not contacted us back regarding the food or to let us know if it was safe to feed our dog. They have not let us know if they changed a vendor for an ingredient or if an ingredient was off or if something happened with the batch. Our dog got sick and we are now having to transition to a completely different food which is really hard for her as she is 16 and has an extremely sensitive digestive system. She has eaten this food for almost 4 years and we are very well aware of the way it is supposed to smell. We also saw on chewy that a feedback was left for the same food describing the same problem with the smell being wrong. We would like them to contact us to let us know whether or not the food has been looked at and if they have found what the problem could have been instead of just blowing us off and ignoring us. We feel this is extremely important because it is for the well-being and daily feeding of our renal insufficient dog. We were told to just return the food to chewy when we called them and chewy did refund however that's all Royal Canin did no response to our filing regarding what they checked out or if they even did check out the problem with the food. In the meantime our dog is suffering. We sent the food back three times for new batches and every batch that came back had the same problem with the same dates.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
We even took the cans with the off smell to our vet and they concur that there was definitely something different and wrong with the cans. You cannot go from smelling a pleasant dog food smell to a cat pee smell and not have had something change. Whether it be a vendor or an ingredient or something that was done incorrectly with the food. Something had to have changed. We would like to know what was changed please. Because we have had no response we had to shuffle around and our dog is now having bacteria in her system she's having diarrhea from antibiotic and all the food changes. After have been on this food for 4 years or more, we know what that food is supposed to smell like. And according to other people's feedback on chewy other families have experienced this as well and they know that there's something wrong with the food. There's been a lot of pain and suffering for our dog and our family while we're going through this. She's almost 16 years old and she did not deserve all of this upheaval and we definitely didn't deserve not getting responded to every single time we reached out to you guys. I would also like to see copies of the reports from the January and February 2026 cans that were tested. We have two cans that we set aside from the cases that smell bad. We would like them tested by the company. And we would like to see any reports that they have from proof of their previous testing and proof of testing the cans that we have here for them. Please be reassured that an extensive quality assurance and quality control program exists to ensure the Royal Canin diets maintain nutritional value and safety. Something changed in that recipe and if the *** requested that information from you guys I know that you would provide it. So do I need to report this to the *** or can you take care of it by fulfilling my request? I gave you guys the information that you needed and now I would like the information back from you showing that you guys actually took the time to test the food to look into perhaps the people where the ingredients were coming from I would like to know what happened to change the smell of that food so drastically.
