    The dentist implied to me that they took my insurance and my cleaning would be covered, but in reality they were out of network and I had to pay over $400 out of pocket for a simple cleaning. Both the insurance company and the dentist are pointing fingers at each other.

    There was never any mention of us being in Network nor asked if we were.  I have the voice recording.  In our new patient welcome letter that we request that the consumer provide any current  x-ray  for review prior to appt.  if not then we will have to take the x-ray. Consumer did not provide any current x-ray. When we took the x-ray we submitted them to insurance they denied the claim due to the time frame.  We did the X-ray, and cleaning with fluoride.  Consumer portions was left much higher.  We do have a 48 cancellation policy.  Consumer called the night before to cancel the appt.  Consumer sent in a payment and she ended up with a $33.00 credit which was refunded back to the patient.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    When I told you my insurance, you should have said no we are not in network for that and warned me in advance. Also, the only reason I had to cancel early was because I received the notification from my insurance that day.
