      Initial person supplied an estimate and I was told cost could be more or less. Now they say estimate is a fixed price. The work was 5 hours of labor plus supplies. They expect payment of fixed price. I paid $1250 of the $2417 estimate.

      On July 26, 2024 our service technician visited the home of the customer and reviewed the ******************** issue. The plumber reviewed the work and tool apart the shower valve and put together a quote for work to be completed. This plumber was onsite for approximate 1 hour and 45 minutes. The customer agreed to the price we quoted for the work $2417.05 and paid a deposit equal to about 1/2 down ($1250). We ordered the special ordered needed for the job and returned on 7/30/24 to complete the work. We arrived onsite on July and completed the work as specified in the quote. The work on 7/30 took approximately 5 and a half hours. After completing the work, the customer refused to pay the outstanding balance for the work ($1167.05). At that time we reached out to the original plumber that quoted the work on 7/26 and he called the homeowner get clarification on why he was refusing to pay and explained that the price quoted for the price for the job. We then escalated this to our Service Manager who reached out to the customer twice to discuss the issue. The customer continued to refuse payment. After his 3rd time refusing to pay, we sent his account to our collections attorney. The homeowner has since paid their account in full. Attached to my reply is the paperwork that the homeowner signed. Note the terms and conditions above the customer signature.
