Terrible experience from start to finish. Was referred to ******* by **************************** their insured caused damage to my car. Took car in and received estimate on damage to front bumper (bumper cover was off so damage was not "hidden"). Was told parts would be in **** days. Waited two weeks and called...no return call...called again after a week..."will call you tomorrow"...no call...called again and was told to bring car in. Took in and received call shortly after..."we found a lot more damage". Two times the original estimate and car was then totaled. ******* told me on several occasions the damage was not halfway to the "total" cutoff. Another note...******* told me I should not drive the car over a couple of miles (two pieces were being held up with electrical tape). It would have been risky to drive on a highway or over 40 MPH. Once the parts were not in for a couple of weeks, I requested a rental car from American Family and they refused because ******* told them the car was drivable. Would not recommend...I even told the American Family reps they should not be on their list of repair shop options. ******* loyalty was to American Family only...unfortunately that will cost them any repeat business and I have spread the word to friends/neighbors about this experience.

We are sorry your car was deemed a total loss. When we wrote your preliminary estimate we did not have the availability to put your car on a frame bench. When it came in for repairs and put up on a ******** was determined that the unibody was bent and the estimate uploaded to the insurance company. They deemed it a total loss. I did tell the insurance company that the car did not have a bumper on it. I did not tell them it was drivable but you did drive off with it. ***** parts have been a problem to acquire and once we had them all in stock we brought your car in for the repair. Sorry we were not allowed to fix to fix your car.
