I was dealing with an auction company by name of Dentler. I borrowed $4000 to buy the items to be auction off. The dealer sold items for only $300. I want what I paid for the items totaling $4000 not the $300.00. I am homeless and need all of my money that is owe to me of $4000.00. I have filed a complaint with MO *********************** as well. This was my ticket out of homeless.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/05/2024

    To whom it may concern,

********************* showed up to our business parking lot around the time frame of July 1st, 2024. We did not know that he was in the parking lot, as he never contacted us before showing up.  As I was looking at my Ring camera's I noticed his van and trailer parked outside and drove to the shop to see what he needed, as I was on vacation at the time.  ********************* asked our auction company to auction the items in his trailer at our next auction which was July 15th, 2024.  I agreed to try and auction the items,  and he parked the trailer and items (canning lid's) at the auction address.  ************** spoke with myself for well over an hour on this day and many days that followed up to the date of July 15th.  He never mentioned anything specifically on how he wanted his items to be auctioned off in any of the conversations that ************** and myself had. Days before the auction ************** called me and used me to load boxes of the canning lids into his van so he could sell to other individuals.  It was my understanding he was selling the canning lids by the box. On the day of the auction, I auctioned his items and called ************** to get an approval for the bid of $3.50 a box (he did not show up to the auction) before I sold the items.  ************** agreed to sell the items at this cost over the phone.  The following day at roughly noon, ************** calls my company phone and said that he wanted the items sold per bag rather than per box.  This was after the verbal agreement over the phone during the auction.  ************** never stated that he wanted the items opened up and sold per "bag".  As an auction company we do not open food grade items unless the customer specifically states for us to do so before the date of the sale.  I feel that ************** was taking advantage of my company and my wife, as he called us multiple times wanting us to do free labor for him such as: loading his van with the boxes, unhooking his trailer, moving his items in his van, having my wife hook his trailer up to his van, and he also was caught multiple times using our parking lot to sleep.  I have tried to pay ************** his balance that he agreed upon, and he refuses to take the check.

    Regard,
