On April 3, 2023 BBB serving MS found one or more advertised claims on the businesses websites and nextdoor page that we requested substantiation, modification, or discontinuation on. The claims are as follows:

1. https://northeastmspowerwash.com/, Our mission is to provide our clients with outstanding customer service and ensure that they are 100% satisfied with our work. The business needs to disclose how they will ensure a consumer is 100% satisfied and what they will do in the event that they aren't. The business also needs to provide a cancellation policy for services being booked online. 

2. https://spot-on-pressure-washing-llc.square.site/, We asked for a privacy policy and a cancellation policy for services booked online. Consumers need to know how they can cancel a scheduled appointment if need be and what is being done or not done with their provided information. 

3. https://spotonwashing.com/, We asked for a privacy policy and email address. Consumers need to know what is being done or not done with their provided information. They also need another form of communication such as an email address. 

4. https://nextdoor.com/pages/spot-on-pressure-washing-llc-belden-ms, business says: I am able to actually help families out when it comes to their health. Yes I said health, and your saying your no doctor. Your right I’m not, but all that black growing on your roofs shingles. That’s mold, mildew, fungus and left untreated it’s just going to cause more health issues as it travels in the air and can get in your houses air ducts. Leading to you and your family breathing it in. I also can save families money on there power bill. 20, 30, up to 40% sometimes, by cleaning their roof and getting that black (really it’s a green color) streaks that are growing on your roof. 

The business cannot make such broad unspecific health claims without specific scientific data to proof solely by pressure washing your house you will keep from getting sick. Also, the business has to disclose proof that he will save you money on your energy bill, 20, 30, up to 40% solely by pressure washing your house. 

According to the BBB Code of Advertising, https://www.bbb.org/code-of-advertising, The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty/ guarantee can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request. Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. 

As of today, August 2, 2023, the business has chosen not to substantiate, modify, or discontinue the advertised claims as requested.
