Alert

On January 25, 2021, Better Business Bureau was alerted to a
fraudulent advertisement circulating on Facebook. The advertisement stated an
individual identifying himself as Brigadier General Stephen Shaver, Medicine
Deputy Corps Chief, is selling his 2018 Thor Motor Coach 24SR for $32,000.00.
The seller advertised the VIN number as WDAPF4CC6H9713358. The seller claims
his wife passed away one month ago and he wants to sell it as it brings back
“bad memories.” The seller also claims his military unit is being shipped
overseas and he made arrangements with Bignell Trucking in Billings, Montana to
hold the buyers money in escrow until the RV is delivered and the buyer agrees
to finalize the sale.

The website for Bignell Trucking is fraudulent and was
created on 12/07/2020. The business
advertises a DOT and Motor Carrier number that do not exist with the Federal
Department of Transportation. A truck depicted in a photograph on the website
appears to be a European model truck with no identifiable markings. Bignell
trucking advertises an address of 28 Olsson Lane, Hall, Montana 59837. This
address is open farmland without truck terminals or facilities to support the
trucking industry. The website for Bignell Trucking can be found at https://bignelltruckingllc.com/index.php.
They claim their warehouse is located at 108 Nail Avenue Billings, Montana
59101, and all telephone calls to Bignell Trucking were not answered.

Research by BBB revealed that a low mileage, used 2018 Thor
motorcoach, model 24SR, has an average retail value exceeding $80,000.00.
Bignell Trucking does not appear on the list of approved motor carriers in
Montana, and Brigadier General Stephen Shaver does not exist in military
records.
