    In March of this year I made a deposit of $700 for a fishing trip in July. I have a terminal cancer and am undergoing chemotherapy. The side effects of chemotherapy has made it impossible for me to make the trip. They advised me that they dont make refunds only a credit for a future trip. Since I am not expected to live past winter, that policy does not do me any good. Their website says under the first bullet that refunds will be made on a case by case basis. A fourth bullet says because of Covid that they will offer a credit on future trips. We did not cancel because of Covid.

    I explained our policy's over email perfectly clear that we only put the deposit towards a future trip with us. He knew exactly what the cancellation policy was when he made the deposit. I explained it over the phone and email. Because of this short notice cancellation I lost a day of work to support my family. I also had to cancel a 2nd boat that he had booked and cancel another guide. So two guides had to lose a day of work to support there family. That is the reason i take deposits. For situations just like this. I ended up paying the other guide $350 for the day because I had to cancel him. with covid or not I put all cancelled trip deposits towards a future trip with us. That is just a great option that I give. I am willing to give $350 back out of my pocket. I paid the other guide $350 for the cancelled trip. I am willing to meet half way on the matter.
