My wife called **** when we had a water heater fail and leak water in the unfinished portion of our basement and spread a bit to the finished portion. We have a major floor drain right next to our water heater that failed so the vast majority of water that leaked was mitigated immediately down the drain. This was not a disaster, this was a bit of water on the basement floor. The **** team did damage, and created more of a problem than the what the small amount water on the floor that needed to be dried. They cut up the carpet, removed padding, ripped off base boardsall of which was not necessary. My wife, bless her heart, verbally told the workers before they did these things not to. She specifically verbalized not to cut the carpet, she explicitly verbalized not to remove baseboards. The team insisted, and given the situation with our children present, and the chaos of all the new people in the house, and her lack of understanding of the situation, she did not fight them about it after they disregarded her instructions they proceeded against her request. That was wrong, and **** will not admit to it. She did not further action to stop them after they ignored her. They charge $23 a sq/ft to lift up carpet?! $12 a foot to pull off a baseboard. the is insane.I stopped their service as fast as I could, (all they fans, etc.. left at the house being billed by the min at crazy amounts) but still was on the hook for about $1,500 for the **** team coming to our house and causing more damage than what they were called to help with. They were at our home for less than an hour. They claim everything was necessary, but no it was not. Its a SCAM and of course they say this because they can. Even with my pointing out their schematic of our basement was drawn up incorrectly by their team, literally just wrong showing absolutely no need for the cutting of carpet, and ripping off baseboardthey did not do anything to make this right.

Mr. ******** Wife Tiama Friend called our on call emergency line at 10 pm on a Saturday night and asked that our team come to her home for a water damage.  Our team responded within 1 hour and looked over the project.   Mrs. ********/ Friend signed our work authorization that states we are to take all steps to protect the home from secondary damage.   All the steps were followed as per the ***** Standard the S500 for water damage restoration.  The S500 is an ANSI approved standard for our industry as a whole.  Mr. ******** called our office on Monday morning and told us to come get our equipment out of his house, he had been away on a hunting trip when this occurred.  Our team showed up as requested that afternoon and nobody was home to let them in. They called the client and had to come back 2 hours later.  The standard cost of a water damage in the US today can range from $750 to *******'s of dollars depending on size and type of water.   The homeowner was made that we removed some MDF baseboards from the walls, removing MDF baseboards is required 100 percent of the time when they are wet.

We discounted the overall bill for the client as he was upset about the whole thing, he did admit in an email that he was more upset with his wife for calling us.

Important Note:  Our team handled a water loss for this family is 2021 that was caused by a plumber, they admitted we did a fantastic job.  The didn't have to pay the bill so they have no idea what the first loss had cost.  MR. ******* has alot of negative reviews all over town as well as in **************** where he used to live.  I have reached out to try and communicate with Mr. ******* and he is very rude and condescending each time, talking down to me and my team.

I will attempt one more time with Mr. ******* but we really cant give much more of a discount to him as our team was out in the middle of the night and we have to pay for that.
