On Saturday, August 13th I took my truck to the Karl Tyler Chevrolet Express Lube at **************. for an oil change. Sitting on the bench in front of the garage bay, I could see the work being performed in the pit and noticed the two rear universal joints had not been lubed. As I was being billed for the work ($80.00), I asked if the joints had been lubed and was told yes. I then left, drove around the block, crawled under my truck, and the two rear joints were dusty and dry. I then drove back, asked for the joints to be lubed, and was treated with hostility. Before leaving, I was told I would now see grease on the zerks. I again drove around the block, crawled under my truck, and could see one of the zerks merely had grease rubbed on it--apparently in an attempt to deceive-- but the joint was dry. The other joint had been lubed. I then took my truck to a local mechanic and paid $10.00 to have the joint lubed. It indeed had been left dry. I then drove to the reserve street location to complain: 1) I had been lied to; 2) I had received inferior service; 3) my truck had essentially been sabotaged; and 4) I have out of pocket expenses as a result of the work performed. The manager assured me I'd hear from someone regarding the matter within four days but I've not heard from anyone. Minimally, I expect to be reimbursed for the $10.00 I had to pay to complete the work **** Tyler was paid to perform. Thank you.
