Friday 6/13/25 I asked ****** from Foothills Refrigeration LLC of ************* if he worked on HVAC units in particular mini splits, he said yes. I paid him $200 in cash to which he would not give me a receipt for my payment. He said he could fix the leak that showed micro- bubbles in the leak detector spray. (I have pictures). He used wrenches but not the proper torque wrenches, sprayed it again & said it was "fixed" (it must not have been) then added more refrigerant, a way to get more money and validate his "work". He spent less than a 1/2 hour working on it. It wasn't fixed. On 6/14/25 I could smell the refrigerant leaking inside my house, I tested with the leak detector ********** had more bubbles than it did previously. Contacted ******, he refused to call me back even after several voicemails. Texted him, sent a picture, he claims he never got it. Then I finally called hourly until he answered. He has now hung up on me multiple times to date. Is angry & threatened to get me kicked out of my rental. Then said that he never said that. ****** is mad at me for asking to be refunded because it is not fixed & is leaking more now, & for my wanting him to be accountable for the lack of service & bad service, pretending to have fixed my unit. I am pretty sure he cracked the flare on the compression fitting because he didnt use the proper torque wrenches (why it is leaking more now). This is not proper repair work but financially taking advantage of me, a woman. He claims he fixed it when he was here 6/13/25 & that it didnt show any bubbles after he fixed it. If that doesnt show he knows he is wrong & guilty I dont know what would. The resolution I am seeking is to refund my $200 so I can hire someone else & get it taken care of properly. I would like to have help in getting this issue taken care of. Thank you.
