    On 08/292024, I called the business to give 30 days notice that I would be closing my storage unit. On this day that I called, I was unable to get ahold of anyone at the direct office of the storage unit, so instead was directed to the regional U-haul office. They informed me that no notice was needed, and I would just need to inform the storage unit that I had moved out once my belongings were out. However, it would be on record that I called and gave 30 days advance notice that I planned to move out by the end of the month. On Thursday, September 26th, I began calling again to actually get the gate code to move out. I was unable to reach anyone at the location and was sent to many different phone numbers for 3 days straight. Finally, on 9/28/2024, I was able to reach someone at the location to give me a gate code to enter the unit, and also confirmed that I would be moved out by September 30th. I was specifically told that they could see where I first gave notice on August 29th 2024, and that I would be good to move out on September 30th and would not be charged for October rent. On October 1st, I was charged for the rent of $110. I immediately called the business, who told me that they would have a manager call me ****. I called again the next day, and still, was unable to get ahold of the manager. I have been calling nearly every single day since to make sure that I will be getting a refund, and also, that I will never be charged again. I still have yet to receive any correspondence from management so cannot confirm that the contract is even ended. Last I spoke to someone at the office, they told me that the contract was still active, despite being told on the 28th of September it was cancelled. I would like a refund for the month of October and for my contract to be cancelled.

    Hi, I have the phone number for the location which is ************. I have not been able to get in contact with the business via email as one was not provided. Additionally, I noticed on the complaint it did not contain the amount paid. The amount I have paid the business is, in total, $1760 for the 16 months I stored my belongings there. I am seeking a refund for the $110 amount I was charged for October, despite cancelling. I am also seeking my deposit of $50 back, as well as assurance the contract is cancelled and I will not be charged again.
