      Hi *******,

We do not have any record of your membership cancellation. To clarify, we are not associated with Unsubby, nor did we receive any cancellation request from them. Do you happen to have the email you received from Unsubby?

I'm really sorry to hear about the charges; that must have been frustrating. Just so you know, we don't charge folks for canceling their membership. If you ever need to cancel again, feel free to get in touch directly, and we'll sort it out for you!

      Thanks so much!

*** never purchased a monthly membership. Ive only ever done single washes. I was in the hospital 4/22 when my wife discovered another charge from the car wash. We went to the location to inquire and were told we did not have a membership associated to our card and none of the charges were recurring, they were all single washes. They couldnt refund even the last one despite knowing it wasnt possible I had done a car wash that day. They told me I had to dispute through my bank. I called the bank and was told it was a recurring charge , but the company themselves said we didnt have a recurring account. I dont have a fast pass # and the price doesnt match, but now Im noticing several charges in different months. Something fraudulent is occurring here. I had to cancel my debit card on top of just having a major health issue. There is something very wrong about this, and nobody can give me straight answers. I want a refund for services never rendered by me. I also always have my card in my possession, but your manager never even apologized much less offered a solution. Even for the most recent 4/22/25 charge. I will never return, this place has no idea what theyre doing and will happily take your money but apparently cant refund you so be prepared to cancel your card to get any sort of resolution.

On September, 26 of 2024, my wife used the Take 5 Car Wash and paid for a $17 wash. These car washes have electronic screens to select what type of service you would like and to pay for the transaction. Lately, they have had attendants there to "help" by having you tell them what you would like, and the attendant selecting the options on the screen for you. Fast forward to May, 2025 and we notice on our credit card bill a charge of $17 in April. We knew we had not been to the car wash recently so we looked back and ultimately found out we had been charged $17 monthly ever since that September visit. We absolutely did not agree to, nor were we informed in any way, verbally or in writing, any kind of recurring service or charge. It seems that the attendant just signed us up for this without our consent. When we called the company to cancel and complain, they were only willing to refund us for two of the seven charges. It's worth noting we had not used that car wash once since that initial time in September. Its also worth noting that when we told family members about this experience, one of them found out the same thing had been done to them. It seems to me that these attendants are encouraged to sign people up for this monthly service and that some of them have been doing so fraudulently. Not counting the initial wash we received, and the $34 they have refunded us, we are still owed $85 from fraudulent charges.

      Hi *****,

We have ******** phone number and email, which means she agreed to share them with us for the membership. We always want to support you in line with our Membership Terms & Conditions, which every member receives whether it's on the screen or a paper receipt. If there's ever any issue with your account, it's important to let **************** know as soon as possible, and we offer a bunch of easy ways to reach out: via text, email, or chat on any of our websites. While we can't refund prior months if we weren't aware of a problem, and not using the service doesn't qualify for a refund, we've gone ahead and provided a two-month refund of $34 as a kind gesture on May 22, 2025.

      Full Terms and Conditions may be found at: ********************************************************************;

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
Even assuming you received my wife's contact information directly from her, and not the myriad of other ways that could have been tracked down, it is absurd to assert that means she agreed to any kind of monthly service. At best, the attendant asked her for her phone number and email address and she gave it to them, a very common practice for vendors for contact and promotional purposes. There was never any kind of explanation that she was signing up for an ongoing service.  There were never any terms presented to her, electronically or otherwise.  If there were any terms presented on the screen, she had no opportunity to review or even see them as the attendant was in front of the screen and quickly selected all of the options. She assumed the attendant was processing a transaction for what she asked for, a single car wash. Just how you trust anyone you give your payment info to only charge you what you ask for. Clearly though, this business can not be trusted to act in good faith and has been conducting deceptive business practices.  I can understand if this was the unsanctioned action of a rogue employee but if that is the case, they should be willing to offer a full refund. Instead, their defense of this implies this is just a shady and deceptive strategy to scam people. As I mentioned, this exact situation happened to my father at this same location. The two month refund is better than nothing, but stealing some of my money instead of all of it is not much consolation. I know I have little recourse in actually getting a full refund but I at least want some kind of record with the BBB so the public can be aware of this companys shady business practices.

I recently discovered that Take 5 Car Wash at ****************************************************************************, has been double-charging my credit card every month since they bought the business from Speedy Shine. I have contacted the company by phone, sent several emails, and spoken to employees in person at the location. I have spoken to customer service ***** assistant managers, employees, and bots who have all told me they will get back to me. The email bot requested information regarding the location, dates of charges, credit card #, customer #, etc. I provided all the information they requested twice now. No one has contacted me or offered any kind of resolution. This is a National franchise that is ripping off its customers and doesn't seem to care. One monthly charge is for $19.00 and the other one is for *****. I would like the overcharge refunded to me. I'm not sure of the exact amount. Take 5 should have access to their billing charges, but I will go to my bank and see if they can help me determine the amount. It shows up on my statements as far back as I can see.

My vehicle was damaged in the car wash. A factory part was detached from the vehicle. I filed a damage claim with the company which was denied due to my "vehicle being over 10 years old" *********** has many warnings regarding aftermarket parts and racks, but nowhere does it state that a vehicle over 10 years old may be damaged at no fault of the company. All I am asking for is that my vehicle is repaired to the condition it was in before I entered the car wash. There was no damage to my vehicle before this event and there is no reason to expect that a 10 year old vehicle would be damaged from simply going through a car wash.

This letter is to confirm that your recently reported damage claim at Take 5 Car Wash location #*** has reached the Take 5 **************************** Please know that we have completed a thorough investigation of the situation and reviewed all the evidence and/or documents related to your claim. At this time, we have determined this factual evidence does not support a claim of damage caused by the service at Take 5 Car Wash.
The facts of this claims denial are as follows:

After a thorough review, there was no evidence of any equipment malfunction at the time of your visit as our brushes and equipment were in a proper position and were all operating at proper speed and pressure. Our blowers also were working correctly and do not cause vehicle parts to come off unless a part is already loose and ready to come off.
Vehicles 10 years and older also tend to have wear and tear, which causes parts to weather and weaken, which is considered pre-existing damage.

We take all customers concerns seriously and conduct thorough investigations based on facts and evidence. The facts presented do not support the conclusion that Take 5 is at fault for the issues you are experiencing.

I am rejecting this response because:
My initial statement regarding the lack of disclaimer for vehicles 10 years or older still stands. There was no warning from Take5 that a vehicle that is 10 years old is subject to damage not covered by Take5.  There are signs regarding aftermarket parts, racks, antennas, etc., but nothing regarding a vehicle over 10 years.

March *******, I went to Take 5 car wash for a single wash. The attendant was very nice and touched my order into the screen. She then said, You can wash your car again this month for $22. I agreed. April 12th, I am charged $22 by Take 5, and again on May 12. There are no phone numbers, so I went to the car wash for an explanation. I was informed that I agreed to a recurring charge. I did not. This recurring charge was never explained to me, I never touched the screen to accept, I was never given an opportunity to read any type of disclosure. One of the managers agreed to cancel my subscription but not to give me a refund. They are not allowed to process refunds. As I was leaving, one of the workers said, THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. I am requesting a refund of the full $44, and a stop to this deceptive, misleading, fraudulent practice. Obviously, I am not the only person this has happened to. It may be only $22, or $44, but how many times has this happened.

On March 12, I took my pickup through Take 5 car wash in ********, IN. I had a "membership" for washes. While going through the carwash, one of the brushes ripped off the mirror on the passenger side of my vehicle. I immediately reported it to the person who identified herself as "in charge." She filled out an incident report, gave me a copy, said I should hear from the company "in a few weeks because they're very busy." I never heard from the company. Called a couple of time. One time I spoke with an *** who said he was "manager on duty." He claimed he found the record in their system, and there was a notation that the main office needed more information which no one had yet provided because they had not been properly trained. He said I would hear back by the end of the week. That also didn't happen. The following week I went to the carwash, spoke to a woman who said she was the manager. She claimed no one knew anything, she was new, the owner was new, the district manager was new. She copied the report, and took more photos. She said they'd look into it, and told me I was lucky I had the report because that was illegal. I challenged her statement, and she said it's illegal for them to give me a copy of the report. I stated I would not have left without some report from the business at the time of the damage. She said I would have waited for a long time until they called the police to arrest me. That was one week ago today, and still no contact from the company. This is outrageous. I have now filed this claim with my auto insurance, which I should not have had to do.

I am rejecting this response because: I have been told that the complaint was being referred to the District Manager 3 times prior to filing my complaint with the BBB, including my in-person visit again to the carwash a week prior to filing the complaint. It is now 5/25, more than 2 months since the damage occurred, and I have received no contact from the District Manager despite my phone number email being available to this person. A promise of a referral is not a resolution to the damage.

I've now been charged a THIRD time. I'm now having to go through the BBB to try to get my money back. This company is disgraceful and I will make sure to tell EVERYONE I know!I AGAIN, request a refund of now 3 months of a $22 membership that has been used only once, and that ONE time my vehicle was damaged. This company makes it impossible to reach anyone by chat, email, and especially by phone. Only a business that doesn't care about its customers behaves this way. I have emailed multiple times, to which I received a response, asking me about my membership information. I had already provided and did yet again provide my information in the contact form on the company web page. Zero response since.

This carwash ripped off the trim on the back of my car. The replacement cost is $1909. I have tried to get in touch with the corporate office numerous times with no result. I have left voice mail. I was told the corporate office would contact me within ***** hours. They did not. It has now been almost 2 weeks and no resolution. Their equipment blew off a perfectly good trim piece.  Their equipment might have been operating normally, yet something abnormal occurred.

to take no responsibility or liability for this incident is the height of incompetence and is totally unprofessional.  I have heard other stories about Take 5 blowing off all claims, so I am not surprised.
