    Despite having an email address on file with CenturyLink, we were not informed of the changeover to Brightspeed. I believe something went wrong with the company changeover and they lost our autopay info because just this month I received an email from a company called Brightspeed telling me our account had a bill of >$186 (proof they had our email address, obviously, and lied about letting people know). We called to get it caught up, and they informed us we could increase our speed but would have to either purchase a new modem (yeah, in Dec) for $200, or lease it for $15/mo. When I asked how long the lease was, they said forever! Because I'm not made of money, I grudgingly agreed to the lease (anything to get better internet just miles from town, even with fiber running outside our home from another company that won't serve us because of deals these companies have in place) and they said it would arrive in 3-5 days. When 5 days went by, we called the company about it & were told we weren't eligible for faster speed & so wouldn't be getting a router. WOW, lied right to us!!! If only people in the country could have any options!!! This is so sad and after reading so many horrible reviews, I'm just so scared about how it's going to go...

    There should be an option for zero stars. We are on day 11 with no internet. Told a tech would arrive and I needed to be home (took off 8 hours from work) they never called and never showed up. **************** via chat or phone is horrible. Never get a straight answer. The worst service ever and I live in a rural area so I dont have another option. This company needs to be shut down!

    This company is absolutely horrible!!I set up services at the end of November. They're automated system is the most useless system ever. It hung up on me 8 times! I tried asking for a rep. ****** internet outtage, request fir technical support, etc, and nothing. Got the equipment on a Monday, no connection. They kept referencing the work order for my installation as completed. Was promised a technician for wed by 3pm. Never showed, the rescheduled for the following Monday. I missed a full day of work for that wed BS. Called again, ***** got the same run around with the "guarantee" for support on Friday. I called 4 times Friday and each time they assured me I would get a technician that evening. I received a message today that my request has been rescheduled for next Monday. I have now missed a full week of work. I have had a rep *********** support every time I've called, yet to no avail, I'm not holding my breath for Monday promises. Something needs to be done about brightspeed!

    Would give a lower score if possible. Working in customer service daily, this is the worst experience i have ever dealt with. If any other service provider was available in my area i would ***** leave this company.

    This is hands down the most awful experience I have had with a company I never give bad reviews and here I am giving my first one after being alive 41 years! I spent 3 HOURS fighting with them to get to the right person to talk to and still couldnt help me. Each one telling me to unplug it we now have been with out internet for 2 weeks while we wait for a repair man. My husbands work is suffering because of them.. we didnt chose this company we were with century link. Im so upset with this. The customer service is AWFUL DONT GET THIS SERVICE!

    Centurylink switched to brightspeed in my area. It has gone downhill since.My State representative *********************** has promised better internet for our area.We have got the opposite.I have more internet troubles than I have ever had.Stay away from Brightspeed if you can.

    This is the worst company ever! We pay for internet why? it never works and when it does it is beyond slow. Will definitely be looking for a different option. We thought Centurylink was bad!!!!

    So much has happened with this company and none of it has been positive. Literally to much to type out but I wouldn't refer this company to anyone! This man named *****. Supposedly the guy highest up I could go which I very very highly doubt that wouldn't let me speak and continuously interrupted me. Every time i started speaking he would cut me off then I would sit quietly and wait until he asked if I was still on the line. Then I would start speaking again and again was interrupted. This happened a good 6 times until I was over it. He told me if I didn't want a refund that was fine. I then asked where would the money go and he told me "we'll just keep it" WHAT?!? What kind of business is this?!? Worst customer service iv ever experienced.

    We have unlimited plan which allows up to 6 devices to stream. Almost everyday the internet is slow or is out. I finally had someone tell me an alert was placed on our plan for high usage of devices which is not correct the data he gave me goes against our plan, and they are illegally throttling our internet. He kept asking if I wanted to upgrade to a new plan that I would have internet again and I kept asking when the alert was put in and Im still not under standing why a high band alert was put on the account I tried to see when that would be lifted and he just continued to try to wake me a higher bill. What they are doing is messed up and not right at all. I want a complete refund since I havent been able to use the service a pay for which promises high speed for up to 6 people. They are stealing and profiting off people without providing the promised service.

    Avoid this internet provider like the plague. CenturyLink was slow but at least I had service. Now my internet goes down frequently and download speeds are atrocious.
