      3 times over the past 5 weeks from September 6th to October 4th 2024 Signature Waste recycling trucks have been dropping and breaking glass in the ************* neighborhood in ******, **************. This broken glass is being left on the road and causing an unsafe environemnt for families. I have attempted to contact them each time getting the response of "we have updated our supervisor". No attempt to clean up the mess or resolve the issue has been made by the company. I am filing this complaint in hopes this gets the necessary traction to have them clean up the hazard and fix the recycling truck.

      The truck in question has been taken off the road as a response to a phone call we received Friday October 4th.  By the afternoon a patch was welded into the suspected location of the truck glass may have fallen from.  Worth noting - this was our recycling truck and glass is NOT recyclable in commingled recycling collection so there should have been no glass in the carts collected by this truck whatsoever to begin with.  We will continue asking residents of the area to mind the accepted recycling materials lists when disposing of such materials.
      Finally, the driver who serviced the area made a trip this weekend on Saturday to sweep the area of any glass he could identify across the area.

      They are lying about sending someone out to pick up the glass, or at least they did not get all of it. With that being said, I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as the truck with the issue has been dealt with.

      We have paid for trash AND recycling services. Every 2 weeks, we have a separate pick up with a separate recycling bin and there are supposed to be 2 trucks to pick up the trash and recycling. On at least 3 documented occasions within the past 6 months (the last 2 being today and 2 weeks ago on 10/25/23), only one truck has been sent to pick up both the trash and recycling.I called and spoke to the company and their dispatcher 2 weeks ago when this happened. They admitted fault and offered a credit to me and to my neighbors and promised that it would be taken care of. Apparently it hasn't as only one truck came again today to pick up both trash and recycling! I've also contacted the York County waste management service to alert them. I want a refund for my contracted services. I want all of my neighbors in my neighborhood to be refunded for their contracted services. I want a call from ***********************, the owner. I want an apology letter mailed to all residents that have been affected.

      Good afternoon ***************

      Last night a reminder was sent to your drivers not to repeat the issue which occurred two weeks ago.  This morning the recycle truck broke down on Riverview Rd. just off of Celanese. The recycle truck has been towed in for repair. Meanwhile, the trash driver again decided to collect both trash and recycle with the same truck.  This is being addressed with that driver directly this afternoon.  In addition to the suggested desired settlements, we are instituting a policy of service confirmation from both drivers in your neighborhood, a change of staff assigned to work your area, and clarified consequences to insubordination.
      Before your report here with BBB, a refund has been processed, a refund to all affected neighbors has been processed, a letter has been sent to all affected neighbors detailing the issue and purpose of the refund, and the owner will be advised you'd like to speak with him.

      Do note, we put our reputation on the improved continued service to your neighborhood and are equally as disappointed in today's outcome.  While we work to repair the downed truck we are focusing on improving every aspect of this shortcoming to avoid such difficulty to you and your neighbors in the future.
