  Let me start by saying that my wife and I discovered the world of veterinary nutrition out of necessity due to my cat Gato having multiple urinary tract blockages. Due to this he was forced into undergoing emergency Perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery to save his life. During his recovery Gato was put on a prescription food diet from Royal Canin and he developed very strange ulcers and skin issues all over his body. As our cat developed issue after issue, we knew that his food and diet were likely the main culprit considering that was the only thing that had changed after his surgery. Gato became more and more difficult with eating (never before the surgery) to the point where he was barely eating any food. Helpless and searching for answers we came across Dr. ***** ******* and Whole Pet Provisions. Dr. ***** ******* takes the time to truly understand our cats backgrounds by analyzing their blood and urine tests, interpreting the results, and understanding their lifestyles and daily enrichment. She will often recommend additional tests to request from our local veterinarians and will communicate directly with them, so we have a team working towards achieving the best possible outcomes for our cats. Dr. ***** and her team always take the time to answer every single question (we have a lot) and always respond within a short amount of time. They have been extremely helpful in making product recommendations for other nutritional needs as well as answering questions long after our consultations. Our experiences have been nothing short of outstanding and because of this we continue to work with Whole Pet Provisions multiple times a year. Under no uncertain terms, Dr. ***** saved my cats life, and we are forever grateful for her assistance. My wife and I and our two cats, Gato and ****, could not be happier working with Whole Pet Provisions and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives.

  We can't recommend Whole Pet Provisions enough! From the very first consultation, we knew we were in good hands. Our husky, ****, was born with congenital kidney defects and couldnt tolerate any commercial renal diets. We were worried sick and felt completely lost. That's when we found Dr. ******** She took the time to understand ***** unique needs and created a personalized nutrition and supplement plan that was easy to follow and worked! Dr. ******* and her team are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, kind and understanding. Within a short time, we started to see a difference. With their guidance and support, **** lived a happy, healthy life eating food he really enjoyed. For that, we are forever grateful! When our husky, ***, started having pancreatitis episodes, we didnt hesitate to reach out. Thanks to the customized diet and supplement plan provided, we were able to regulate and manage his issues. ********************** ongoing nutritional guidance gives us peace of mind knowing *** is receiving the best nutrition for optimal health. Not to mention, he absolutely loves his food! We're so grateful for the exceptional care.

  I found Dr. ***** online by searching for certified pet nutritionist that do online consultations and I hit the jackpot! She and ****** are amazing from their quick email communication, to their passion, and the service they provide. My dog **** had her first ccl tear and after her surgery in 2019 when she was 18 months knowing that dogs are most likely going to tear their other ccl surgery I turned to Dr. ***** Im 2020 for guidance on her nutritionist. She recommended lab work to rule out any underlining reasons for her weight, did consultations with me, created a formula for her, answered all of my questions during the consultation and after. My dog tore her other ccl in 2023 and Dr. ***** reformulated her food due to her inactivity and recommended new supplements and even being limited and with time my dog has lost significant weight! You can now see her curves, one rib, she is active, and has an amazing quality of life. She also recently had lab work done and has to take thyroid medicine, which is what Dr. ***** thought may have been the issue from the start but her lab work was not showing it yet. If you are thinking about having a consultation DO IT! Dr. ***** and ****** are amazing and always there to answer any questions and genuinely care about your animal. She does not pass judgement on you and is there to help! 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!

  We found Dr. ***** at exactly the right time. Our cat has severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and was at deaths door. We had struggled for a year and a half to stabilize our kitty prior to meeting Dr. ****** but with every new medicine or food we tried, he only got worse.We were in emergency mode during our first session with Dr. ****** There was nothing that my cat could eat that didnt make him sick, and a cat needs to eat in order to survive. Dr. ***** recognized the urgency of his case and worked very quickly to come up with an interim plan until his homemade recipe could be finalized.But that was not the end of the story. My cat is extremely medically complicated, and we needed to tweak his recipe four times before we got it right. I dont think most pet parents would have to go through this, but my cat is very sensitive.Throughout the entire process, Dr. ***** was so patient with us, and with our kitty. It was very difficult to get him to eat his homemade diet at first it just didnt taste as yummy as the junk food that we, as ignorant first-time parents, had been feeding him his whole life but Dr. ***** was an endless font of suggestions as to how to improve palatability to get him to eat his homemade diet. We really had no choice because every single commercial food, even the ones designed for cats with GI disease, made our cat nauseous.I also appreciate Dr. ****** collaborative approach to nutrition. Nutrition does not happen in a vacuum, and this is where Dr. ****** team player mentality is so valuable. Because my cat has so many conditions, he has a number of specialists, and Dr. ***** really takes into consideration all of their input before making any modifications to his diet.When I think of how much my baby suffered on the wrong diet his entire life, I so wish we had found Dr. ******************

  I cant say enough positive comments about Dr ******** She helped my sweet boy ****** through a very difficult time. After being diagnosed with a carcinoma mass on his kidney, he was scheduled for surgery followed by 5 sessions of chemotherapy. At the time he was eating dehydrated food and I knew based on his diagnosis I needed to change his diet especially with what was ahead of us. I was fortunate to get connected with Dr. ******** She designed a diet for him. He gained weight which was great as I knew the chemo might impact his eating. I have to say besides creating the recipe, Dr. ******* is very knowledgeable, kind, encouraging, receptive, and provides excellent support! I am grateful to have found her and take every opportunity I can to recommend her services.Sadly my ****** earned his wings July 27, 2022 at **** years. He was brave and did outlive a terrible prognosis although that doesnt ease the pain. My heart is shattered. After sharing the news with Dr. ******* she expressed compassion, understanding and encouragement. She is a gem!** **********

  I do not recommend using her recipe formulation services. Her pricing is very high for what you receive. She only provides 2 weeks of email support, which does not give you enough time to see if your cat or dog can tolerate the ingredients or to see if it meets their need for calorie intake. I paid for several consultations after asking her and her assistant several questions. I wanted to know if she could make a recipe that included bone, organ meats and other whole foods so as to keep the dry supplement content down. I was told this wasn't a problem. The recipes were simple and likely made with a database, probably from Balance IT. Instead of good whole ingredients, I was given recipes where I was required to drain out nutrients, only to add back a lesser ingredient (drain fats and liquids and add coconut oil). Instead of getting vital nutrients from hearts and livers, I was told to use a powdered supplement from Balance IT. Some amount of supplements was to be expected, but completely leaving bone and organs out was not part of the agreement.She gets quite frustrated quickly when you ask for what she calls reformulations. I'm still waiting for the recipe she and I agreed to, so I wouldn't call it a reformulation. Her assistant sends out passive aggressive emails that include an invoice that they have so nicely zeroed out for you. I was told in our last email, she would give me one last reformulation. I quit communication with her at that point because she still doesn't get that I paid over $1500 and didn't even receive one recipe that contained the requirements that we discussed before payment was rendered.She will talk over you during the consultations and then when she gives you a recipe that does not match what you asked for, she will ask for a bulleted list of what you want. This tells me that she is not listening during the consultation. Beware and tread carefully. I would recommend trying to find a nutritionist who does better research.

We provide expert nutrition care in collaboration with the primary care veterinarian and our recommendations are supported by evidence based medicine, 24+ years of veterinary practice experience, 7+ years of exclusively nutrition focused care, Board Certification under the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, subspecialty Nutrition, and independent consultative work and research in the pet food and pet supplement industry. We do not simply formulate recipes, rather we prescribe appropriate and balanced medical nutrition plans specifically tailored to address our patients needs using validated, analyzed and carefully measured ingredients. Providing optimal nutrition for our dogs and cats to support their best health is our mission and our passion. We are fully committed to helping our patients and we aim to provide exceptional client care throughout the consultation process. In this very isolated incident, we assume there has been a miscommunication or misunderstanding of what our services provide. We are disappointed that Ms. * was not satisfied with her nutrition consultation and we wish that she had communicated to us her specific concerns directly during the process so that we could have had a fair opportunity to address or remedy them. We have fully refunded her consultation fees and we genuinely hope she finds the type of service that will better suit her particular needs.
