  On December 9, 2024 I hired Artful Construction Services, based out of ******* **, to finish the build of a tiny house on my property in *********, **.. Unfortunately, all of work done was not only subpar, but almost all of it has to be torn apart and fully redone because the siding and a portion the roof and all of the interior drywall were all done poorly and Incorrectly. After getting paid the majority of the money agreed upon in our contract, the business owner let me know on January 15, 2025 that he would not be completing the build and he left the job site with his tools and never returned. He also left massive unprotected piles of debris and metal and wood all over my property. Now its going to cost me a lot more money to have everything ripped apart and redone and rebuilt.

  I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. There has not been any communication, and no resolution at all. The build work was never completed, yet the builder kept the majority of the money that was paid to him, which he was under contract to complete, but never did. Unfortunately, a majority of the work he did was done very poorly, and now has to be fully repaired and redone.

  False allegations by a professional scam artist. This individual filed a claim with my insurance company on work was that performed by people other than myself.

   I am rejecting this response because:  

  My Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Build has not yet been touched by any other builders or contractors (besides being viewed by new contractors to give estimates for repairing and replacing the damage caused by Artful Construction Services), since the owner of Artful Construction walked off the unfinished job on January 15, 2025, with half finished, poorly done roof addition work, partially finished soffit work, half finished and poorly done siding work with a lot of water intrusion issues and drywall work that was left unfinished but also very poorly done. The insurance company for Artful Construction Services sent an insurance adjustor soon after January 15, 2025 and they deemed that the damage was in fact done by Artful Construction Services and his insurance company just paid me the maximum coverage amount allowed on his policy (which unfortunately does not cover the full amount of damage found by the insurance adjustor or what I will be out-of-pocket to repair and replace all of the damage done by Artful Construction, but at least it will help my future costs to repair and replace almost everything Artful Construction Services damaged). Also, please be made aware that the photos used on Artful Construction Services seem to be stock photos and do not actually represent wood work Artful Construction Services offers.
