    We hired this company for a local move to take place beginning July 1, 2024. There were several incidences leading up to the final move that made us question who we hired. For instance, they would charge my credit card on file without first sending an invoice. Because they did this, they were able to collect over $3,000 more than the original estimate. Because of this, I think they are a dishonest company who quotes low and then makes excuses for why they are charging more than what was quoted. We paid them over $400 for what they call "full value" insurance. They make it clear to you that this means nothing. They let you know that they will likely not replace anything they damage but will work with you on repairs. Well, we submitted repair requests and reimbursement for the cleaning of a rug they stained with oil and now they have gone silent. The owner refuses to respond to our requests. He does not return calls and when we call he is always " out of town". We want our items replaced or repaired and we want reimbursement for the custom rug that they stained. This company has added undue stress to what was already a stressful situation. I have moved across country several times. We moved 5 miles away and this was the WORST move ever!

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

    Thank you. I did want to clarify a couple of things because transparency matters.  The business knew that we were moving to an apartment.  Apartments have elevators.  Ironically, the movers mentioned to us that they had moved the residents from our new unit the week before.  The credit card procedure was not explained to me and no invoice was sent for charges prior to the charge.  This is why I froze the card after the first two charges.  My husband's effort to play "good cop" in a situation that was going south was to make sure that we had no problems with repairs.  Unfortunately, we still had to contact BBB because we could not get a response for damages.   Weeks of waiting, calls, email and frustration could have been avoided and there would not have been a need to contact BBB.  We hope to receive what is due to us soon
