We signed up for a service to help us with pest removal. On the initial call, I was told of the start up rate as$100 then $50/mo going forward. I asked if I could cancel at any time. I was told I could. I then asked about any other cancellation policies as was not told of the $300 cancellation fee. I called to cancel my services and was told I needed to continue for 1 yr else I would need to pay a $300 cancellation fee. The representative then told me that this is clearly stated in the contract I signed, which is in fine print. However, given I had clearly asked on my initial call, I reviewed this is very upsetting to a customer who had specifically asked about cancellation.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:My husband resolved the issue after your services were inadequate. That is why we cancelled and ultimately should have been informed on my initial questioning about the cost of cancellation. Your staff should clarify the cancellation fees when a client inquires so that your business practices are transparent. As such, I will not recommend your service to anyone. I hope that you would remedy your practices and refund my cancellation fee given your misleading practices.

Company came door to door. Pressured to sign because all the neighbors signed and Id get a discount.They came 3x and there were zero visible results. The house was covered in insect guts and there were still spiders all over. I tried to cancel but they said I had agreed to my contract and would be billed over 400 to cancel. I declined to cancel but they continued to move on with the cancellation and bill me over $400. The services provided werent even worth the monthly fee they were charging me. A door-to-door salesman came to my door and offered services from this company. I explain to her that I already had ****** call Services and was not under any contract. She explained that these were also no contract services and that they offered more services. I agreed to having the services switched to insight And was serviced only one month I began traveling for my job and declined the next service date. I was then informed of a new job opportunity. Explain to insight that I would be moving. I was then informed that I would still owe for discount services I believe, and a termination fee . I explain to them that it was beyond my control and apparently the amount keeps rising. I have paid for services rendered was not aware that this was a one year contract I would have never entered into and have spoken to employees from insight with no resolution.Business Response

In July 2023, a salesperson representing Insight Pest Solutions came to my home soliciting business for Insight Pest Solutions. At the time I was experiencing an ant problem on my property and was interested in his business. The salesperson informed me that they normally charge over $300.00 for initial treatment but since several in the neighborhood signed up, they can do it for $129.00. The next treatment would be $50. They would come back in the fall and spring to treat the home. I agreed to this price. The salesperson kept insisting that I give him a credit card to put on file. I told him no, that I do not pay until service is completed. He then became insulting but called a "manager," to agree to allow me to pay after service. I never saw a contract. I can't remember if I signed anything on his pad. They came and did an initial service. They emailed me a bill and even mailed me a bill. I paid the bill of $129.00 on time. Recently, I have been getting phone calls from this company to discuss my account. I thought they wanted to schedule a fall treatment. It turns out they said I owed $98. I told them I paid my bill. They then informed me they bill me $50.00 a month. I informed them that was not my understanding, that it was $50.00 a treatment. The person on the phone said he would talk to his manager. I was informed that I could pay $147.00 at time of service. I insisted that was not my understanding and will decline their service in the future. The representee for Insight Pest Control informed me that I can terminate the service but will owe the $98.00 plus termination fee. I informed I am not paying that cost as no service was provided, and I was not aware of those costs. Representee said it was a miscommunication. My side is the salesperson misrepresented the true costs. I kept insisting that I was never sent a bill in the first place. I never got billed by email nor by letter. In June 2023 I was misled by a salesman who was soliciting door to door. He offered me a special price as he was in the neighborhood which included a spray for bugs outside our home 3 times for a onetime fee of $200.00 plus tax. I confirmed the offer with him verbally several times as I was not interested in signing up for a yearly service or any service that would cost more than the onetime payment. I was not able to check the whole contract because he only showed the signature page on his IPAD. I was told the contract would be sent by email and it never was. The first appointment was set for a time that I would be home and the tech came and left hours before our appointment time. I checked our security cameras and there is no footage of anyone coming to the house so I called the company to complain and was assured that someone was there and they had the documentation to prove it. They offered to send another tech to spray again but said that it would be an overdose and to wait until the second appointment so I agreed. On the second appointment day the tech called saying he was at my door hours earlier than our scheduled appointment time again. I was very upset and told him to come back later at the scheduled time. He agreed and came back and we saw the service being completed. Today I see that I was charged another $200 plus tax on my credit card. When I called to complain I was told that everything the salesman said to me was a lie and the contract actually stated that I signed up for a quarterly service and I would be charged $200 plus tax for two more visits and if I want to cancel I would have to pay a cancellation fee. I asked them for a refund for the second charge as that was not what I had agreed to and they said no. They only offered cancel the rest of my service at no charge. I am completely unsatisfied as I was lied to by the salesman then I was told I received a service when there was no evidence that anyone was at my property.Business Response

It was June 2023. I was told that treatments for bugs would be every four months and I would pay $49.00 for each of the four treatments. But. I am getting billed $49.00 every month for a year. and that is for four treatments. That is not how the payment schedule was explained to me. I called this morning to ask about the billing. I was told that Im stuck in this $49.00 a month thing until next May! The sales pitch that I got at the very beginning was that Id pay $49.00 four times a year for treatment. I am sick about having to pay all of the extra money. I feel like I got scammed into this service by being told that Id only have four payments for the four times of service.Business Response

After ignoring the no solicitor signs in my neighborhood , a young man maybe 18 came hoverboarding through my grass(I know because I could clearly see the track in and out of the yard).I was not home but after some shady sales tactics which were blatant lies, he convinced my fiance to try their service.The first time the technician came out things were good. No major issues. Then about a week later things got worse. More bugs...a lot more bugs When we called to see why this was or I'd someone could come back out we were informed it was a BI MONTHLY service but that we were charged monthly I stated we wanted to cancel and they informed ******* 300 dollar cancelation fee.I told them i was done, canceled my card they had on file (after them attempting several times to charge it) Last week I received no less than 10 calls and several emails harassing me about a due balance we never received service for.Then finally mid week they sent two rather large gentleman over under the lie that they were "here to service the yard but first take care of this issue of non payment".I kindly told them we had already called to cancel and that they needed to leave my front porch before we called the police. They then proceeded to sit in my drive way (blocking my car) which resulted in me being late to pick up my daughter.Now again today they send an email informing me they are taking me to collections over a 200 dollar bill I never agreed to nor ever received services for.Something needs done as this company sales tactics and bait and switches and intimidation tactics are absolutely insane.Business Response

my hopes is someone at the corporate level can at the very least initiate a stop order on payment collections.
a quick look around the BBB website indicates i am far from the first to make these accusations and yet dating back to 2019 to present, they continue to use these shady business practices to trick new clients into signing up for yearly services.
Add to this the fact that there are clearly no solicitation signs posted throughout our development and yet we were coerced into trying the one time service by a young man soliciting

A rep for the company solicited our neighborhood for a week straight knocking on our door 4-5 times a day from 4PM-8:30 at night, he told us they werent going to leave our neighborhood until they had us signed up for a treatment. Said we could do a 1 time treatment that our neighbors had all done it one time. We signed up for a one time treatment they didnt do a good job, they sprayed just the front of our house we still had spiders and bugs. I called to cancel they said we couldnt cancel it was recurring treatments he signed us up for. They continue to solicit us weekly ringing our doorbell at 8:30 at night waking up our child. This company is completely unprofessional with the way they harass you until you sign up. I want out of this so called contract and wish to be left alone by their sales reps.Business Response

I was approached in my garage by this extermination company. Since solicitation is not allowed within the community, I assumed he was servicing my neighbor and just stopped by while he was treating his property. Insight serviced my house the first time and I was not happy with the sloppy manner and poor results. I discussed Insight Pest Solutions with my neighbor and he had never heard of them. I called Insight and cancelled the contract due to unsatisfactory results. A few months later I received a second bill that they said they had performed. I agreed to pay this bill but informed them once again that I would not pay for any more unproductive service calls. Several months later I noticed someone walking in my driveway and confronted them and realized it was Insight Pest Solutions attempting to service my property. We had a heated discussion in my driveway as he was rude and determined to service my property against my wishes and informing me that I had signed a contract as if I had no rights. It didn't matter that Insight was not getting results. It didn't matter that they had illegally solicited this contract against HOA guidelines. I wrote the Insight Pest Solutions in ************** explaining why I had cancelled this services and their continued pressure to push their services on me is harassment and illegal. This is why I am contacting BBB so that my neighbors don't have to experience these strong arm tactics and harassment. Insight Pest Solutions has just sent me a bill for $325.01 from ************************ at PO Box **** in *************, **. The letter states that they are a debt collector attempting to collect for Insight but curiously the stub that I am directed to respond is to the home office of Insight Pest Solutions. After the service we continue to have issues with bugs wasps and moles. I then had my hours cut and child support suspended reducing my income by over $1000 a month would explain that to the company that I could not afford the service any longer, the return response was an outrageous fee. One time in a payment was made that day for $54. There was no other treatment, so there is no reason they cannot cancel the account. The only thing they offered me was to suspend my service for two months and take five dollars off of my monthly bill. I explain to them how much my income had decreased and that five dollars would not make the difference received no response after that just continuous phone calls to make a payment.Business Response
