I originally brought my car in under a 3rd party warranty and the warranty company called and told me that it was supposed to be 200 and then I went to pay and Aamco said that they were charging me a few hundred more. I fought with them and the warranty company and AAMCO and they resolved it. My car started having the same issue and I brought it in 2 months later, come to find out that it what they fixed was not the culprit and they charged me 100 for oil, that I did NOT authorize and 150 for diagnostics. They then told me to bring my car to a different dealership to fix my issue. My opinion is that this should be under the same issue that took place 2 months ago that they did not fix.Business Response

The customer brought there car in 8/8/24
1. On the original Invoice 8/8/2024 there were parts and tools that the warranty company would not cover as per the contract that the customer signed with his warranty company ********************. We however did not charge the customer for the cost of these parts and tool as a goodwill gesture but absorbed these costs even though we were not obligated to do so. I would advise the customer to more carefully read what he signs before Demanding others pay his obligations.
2. When the customer originally brought his vehicle to us also 8/8/2024 for transmission issues with his car The car would not go into 1st or 2nd gear. We pointed out that the vehicle had no engine oil in and that we had to fill the engine with oil before we could continue out diagnosis. We also pointed out that the Vehicle could be using oil .The customer gave us the go ahead and they were charged for this service so they were well aware of this condition.
3. We filled the Engine with oil and continued our diagnostics - At this time the engine did not make a noise after it was filled with oil. However we found that the vehicle had a timing issues and proceeded at the customers authorization to complete this diagnostic service.
4.We repair the car after getting authorization from the warranty company .
5.9/12/2024 the customer collected the vehicle.
6.11/21/24 2 and 1/2 months later the customer returned stating that the engine is noisy . Again we diagnosed the car and found that there is no oil in the engine. We further more contact the dealer and find that they have a recall for this issue. After which we informed the Customer.
7. I will not be issuing a refund at this time as we did the ****************** he authorized and the problem with the car was not caused by our original work.

Aamco Repair On February 2, 2024, I took my ****** Armada to Brads Auto LLC / Aamco total car repair at 316 ************************** in Pineville ** *****. I took it there because the vehicle was stalling and jerking a little bit. Prior to Planet Mistibushi had replaced spark plugs and coils. However, the problem persisted, and they suggested it may be the transmission. I spoke with Aamco and **** the owner suggested towing it in so that he could look and properly diagnose. As stated on invoice# I136316 he charged $250.00 for towing and for diagnostic and labor he charged $316.75. the vehicle and it drove fine up to 2-21-24 On 2-18-24 the check engine light came on and I called **** on Monday 2-19-24. **** had my vehicle towed to his shop to further diagnose. After having the vehicle for a week and a half approx. **** sent a work order # J137887 on 3-12-24 for diagnosis $123.75 stating that the vehicles high pressure fuel pump as well as the fuel pump had to be replaced totaling $3538.30 with a proposed completion date of 3-14-2024. While he was telling me what the problem was, he also stated that while removing the fuel pressure pump some of the pump broke and fell into my engine. He stated that they retrieved as much as they could and would hope any remaining would not damage my engine. I asked can it all be removed, and he said no. I asked if he could perform a flush to see if anymore came out. He said that would not help and he hoped they got it all. On 3-18-24 I received a text stating the vehicle was ready to pick up. I picked up my vehicle and drove from Pineville to my home in *********. I backed in my driveway the vehicle started sputtering and acting like it wanted to cut off. I pressed the gas a little and it caught and started right back. The next day I notified **** that the vehicle was doing the same thing. **** sent a tow truck 3- 20 After a few days **** called to say it was his worse fear and that was the engine. He then proceeded to quote me a price of $10,000.00 -$12,000.00. After doing further research I discovered that the metal was the cause of the engine failure. I also discovered that some metal is normal due to normal wear and tear. **** stated that shards of metal had fallen into the engine. Because the failure to look for metal in the screens and filter, or ignoring what is found, can lead to catastrophic engine failure. At this point I arranged for a tow truck to retrieve my vehicle. **** never expressed that he would right the wrong of his technician ***********************. When the tow truck driver dropped my vehicle off, he asked me what was going on with the vehicle. I told him what I was told, and he said that **** told him it was a timing belt issue. My concern is that I have financed the work that **** supposedly corrected which resulted in another issue. I feel as though he should have at least either repaired the engine due to their negligence or offered a refund for the pending financing. This letter is to request a full refund to the finance company, relieving me of any monies owed to them. Kindly respond with your intentions.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Initially he never told me of any other "suspected" issues other than the metal. He never suggested removing the timing cover because that "supposedly" was not the issue. As far as a camshaft adjuster goes this is my first time hearing of him replacing it. I strongly stand by my response because these issues were directly the result of negligence on behalf of **** and his technician. The reason that he was asked to stop and prepare my vehicle for pick up was because he had drained any and all monies that I was willing to give someone that obviously could not correct the issue. If you back to several of your reviews from multiple sites you will find that this is a common issue with ****. All I wanted was ****************** to fix the issue that he created.best regards

I took my car in to have the water pump changed on September 12, 2023. In the process of having the waterpump and timing belt replaced they messed the motor up in my car. They purchased a used motor and put it in the car and that motor was not any good, now we are on the second motor and there is something wrong with it also. The owner had the nerve enough to tell me that he would push the car out of his shop and I could take it somewhere else to get the problems that THEY caused fixed. Very rude customer service and **** not sure what his position is there but he answers the phones seems to think that this is a laughing matter. Everytime that i call up there to get a update or ask a questions he laughs like this is a joke. At this time I dont know if I will ever get my car back and if I do will it even be right.Business Response

Firstly - What the customer fails to mention was that we gave them over $1200 of there bill for a rental car for the first 2 weeks and a loaner car for the following 2 weeks
Secondly - Yes we did cause the motor problem - This was not our intent however in the course of doing business and despite our best efforts once in a while One of my technicians will make a mistake as we all do from time to time . Again this is not our intent and My techs are some of the best in the industry however on occasion this will happen .
Thirdly - We do not accept abuse in our shop verbal or otherwise. After myself and my staff were subject to abuse from the customer every working day for a month I told them that should this continue they could take there car somewhere else.
Fourthly- .We do not view this as a Laughing matter . The fact that we had a Technician working on the car for a month at the expense of all our other customers and that we organized the customer a loaner car and discounted there ticket for over $1200 indicates this.
