On August 5, 2024, Carolina Pro Clean has been the subject of a BBB advertising challenge that was brought to their attention by the BBB referencing the company’s website advertisement.
Specifically, the company’s use of the claims “100% Satisfaction Guaranteed” may not meet Better Business Bureau Code of Advertising guidelines.
According to the guidelines: “Advertisers should only use "100% satisfaction,” “satisfaction guarantee(d)” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. When "satisfaction guarantee(d)" or similar representations are used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.”
The BBB requested written clarification from the company on how they resolve issues with dissatisfied consumers. To date, Carolina Pro Clean has failed to respond to BBB’s request.
