Their customer service is useless and will not provide any assistance to me except one they will mail me my explanation of benefits. I have already tried this and did not receive it. I contacted them again and they could not help me but to mail it again. They will not fax email or give me any kind of information to make a complaint against them. They are terrible mostly customer services their representatives say there is no one else to speak to above them, there is no way to complain to them about themselves online or anywhere else. This was my only option.

This is by far the worst insurance I've ever had. They have a 3 month payment policy, where they cut your coverage after 3 months of non-payment. I liked to make my payments in bulk, and never went beyond 3 months (I also do not use the insurance if payment hasn't been made in full). I made a payment for what their customer service rep stated was a full 3 month payment on November 3, 2023 (my 3rd month bill wasn't due until Nov 30, 2023), so I was under the impression that I had paid November early. I had an upcoming appointment on Nov 6, 2023, and specifically asked the rep if there would be an issue, and he stated that since I was paying in full on 11/3/23, there wouldn't be a problem. I asked how much to be paid in full, the rep stated $449.99 (my card was already on file), I informed the rep to process the full payment he told me was the amount to be paid in full, and he did. I went to my appointment on 11/6/23, and when they billed my insurance Ambetter of NC, they denied all claims stating that my insurance hadn't been paid. I went back and forth for months, and didn't refund all $449.99, they also continued to deny claims. I was told that it was non-payment of $13, which I was never made aware of. Even still, my last payment was due until 11/30/23, and the appointment was on 11/6/23, meaning my insurance was paid up and active. My Aunt had similar issues with them, and stated she will not be using them again as well. Every clinic and office I go to, also states that it's not a good health insurance to have.

This company takes your money and will deny any and all claims presented. They are listed on the market place should be removed. If you have a serious injury and need medical care they will deny your claim and not pay. This is awful. My husband was scheduled for an EKG, it was denied because this insurance company would not pay and the doctor canceled the test. I am waiting for a heart transplant. Services needed are being denied because they will not approve. This is ridiculous and something needs to be done.

Within the past few months I received a bill in the mail for an insurance through Ambetter Health which i wasnt aware of nor did i sign up for. I contacted the company as soon as possible to see what was going on and informed them I didnt enroll in it. I reached out to this company multiple times including speaking to the ****** ****** place and my issue has not been resolved. It has been well over 30 days since I filed my complaint and no one has reached out to me. The first time I contact the company i spoke to a representative who informed me the insurance was closed and they wouldnt send me another bill. Weeks later i received another bill so i contact them. the second time i spoke to someone they told me the insurance was indeed still active, and nothing had been closed or complaints filed. To my surprise I filed my taxes before April 15th, and they were rejected. The tax preparer informed me they were rejected because I would need the 1095-c form from the insurance company to hand over with my taxes. Due to this ongoing issue, ****** ****** place instructed me to download my 1095-C linked in my profile in order to correctly file my income taxes. The company did not tell me not to file my taxes with the 1095-C or that it was incorrect until AFTER I filed and had to contact them again. My call went to escalations and they told me I need to contact Ambetter health because they were the people that were going to resolve this and give me a refund. After speaking to a representative again, she informed me there was nothing she could do, and i needed to write the *** a letter to inform them of whats happening. My case still has not been resolved nor has anyone contacted me. This has been an absolute nightmare.

**************** is the worst!!!! Do not enroll in Ambetter! They have a 3 month grace ****** and will not honor it. I made a payment in December which made me one month behind on payment but guess what? They REFUNDED my payment! I paid it Dec 18th and January 8th is the day it was refunded! I have spoken with 9 different agent within a month and each time they would catch the computer error and would file a claim for me but with no follow through! Yes, I would have to explain the entire story each time I called. The last person I spoke with told me that I am not the only person that is going through this. He files a claim and three weeks later, NOTHING...no call, email or anything in the mail. I called them today asking about the claim and of course she knows nothing! I literally did a silent scream in my pillow. I am just over it. What make this so heartbreaking, I had to go the ** last December (almost $4000 in bills) and now my insurance will not cover it! I just gave Ambetter my money for nothing. I feel scammed.

Hi, please read this review before deciding to enroll in Ambetter coverage. This company unfortunately does not value it's customers in any way that they advertise. There deductibles are too high for customers to meet and are paired with extremely high monthly premiums and still doctor visit co-pays. Not to mention, God forbid you need assistance with an issue and would like to speak with a representative. Also, there coverage is very limited in certain areas so please be advised if you are looking to use them. You will receive numerous false information from different representatives, and you will be given the run around. If I had to choose between being uninsured or going with this company, I will gladly be uninsured.

I was signed with AmBetter Health of North Carolina under a fraudulent contract agreement by True Coverage of North Carolina Insurance Marketplace. I was told that I qualified for free insurance. That I didn't have to pay anything for insurance. He then stated that I do qualify for a tax credit and that I will be receiving the credit on a card that I can use to pay bills, buy food or medication. All this was a lie. I then find out that they was taking my tax credit and applying it to a Insurance premium with out my permission.
