In 2013 I rented a room at *************************************** I paid 200$ a week. that amount included all utilities, laundry access, cable TV. In 2014 the owner of the home, ( my landlord), ***** *******, stated that he wanted to move in with his cousin because of health issues, I told him that I wanted to take over the house as a single unit home. ***** ******* moved the other tenants out of the home, took me to his landlord, I signed a lease with her, (Ms. ********** he moved out, and I turned all the utilities on in My name. About 6 months later, I get a bill in the mail from *****, telling me that I owe 1,037.93$ for ***** ******* because he had that past due amount owed to them, and because I was the current customer in that home that I had to pay his bill. I went to their collections, to try to resolve the situation, they tried to say the same thing. I went to legal Aide, city code enforcement as well as the city attorneys office, we all told them that it is against the law in the state of **************, to try to force someone to pay someone else's bill, the bill is the responsibility, Solely of the person whose name is on the bill. they new it was illegal what they were doing and removed his account balance off my account, and the issue was resolved, Now in 2024 they are Again trying to pull the same thing. I have attempted to resolve this old matter with the new employees at *****, and they still want to use the "oh well you were on the Lease" excuse...I let them know that I might of been on the new lease at that residence, but I Was Not on His water account, He was the sole person on His account, just like I was the sole person on My account when he moved out no one is wanting to hear me, so I filed a complaint with the BBB as well as with the Attorney General **** ****** office I want the legal law to be upheld, what they are again trying to attempt to do is illegal in the state of **************

Received a letter on 12/01/24 saying I was behind $88.71 on my water bill. They took my water meter on Monday 12/09/24 and stated it was used after disconnection. My water was never shut off. They claim it was shut off Nov 5th but that is incorrect. I had water up until Monday 12/09 and I call to find out what is going on. I have a letter from them on 12/01 saying im behind $88 and the lady on the phone tells me that is not accurate. They then charge me a Total of $495 to have water service restarted. They never shut off my water, never sent me notice to shut off my water. They just came here and took the meter and then extorted almost $500 out of me. The amount my account showed behind on the website was less than the lady on the phone was saying. Just none of this makes sense and they extorted that money out of me. If I was behind $88 as of Dec 1st I do not understand how the amount went up by 5 times that amount in 10 days. Something shady is going on. The only reason these monopolies exist is because of political corruption.
