1 starI give Seldin, Torello on Maple, a complete zero star review. I would never recommend anyone to live with this company. The lack of quality and support this company provides makes me sick to my stomach, especially being a long term tenant with no issues or late payments. The office WILL NOT under any circumstance support my need of adding roommates to my lease. They keep telling me everything “is illegal”, like a co-signer and the amount of individuals who can apply as a tenant. They are slow with completing tasks simply because they are playing games and want a buy-out vs a new tenant. They are rude on the phone and in person. Not the mention the 100% neglect performed for multiple car break ins on their property lot. My car, my roommate, my boyfriend and a friend all had their vehicles broken in to with no empathy or proactive support to prevent this issue. They said “what would a camera doing anyway?” then continued to persuade me to bug a garage. Laughable and pathetic. 1 starYall are so disrespectful, your maintenance men have been very disrespectful with my mother and to the point they have threatened her more than once. Your office people banded together against her in retaliation when she had called the police on them instead of being honest and taking accountability for the situation that happened. You guys do not care for your residents. All you are is trying to make a profit out of the poor, taking over peoples homes and even lying about on your websites taking about “beautiful 1, 2 and 3 bed homes” you have done absolutely nothing to better this community or the next community, stop playing with peoples time and money.Review fromKevin F

I had previously filed a complaint with the BBB concerning Seldin Company in regards to the management that was, in the kindest of ways saying, lacking in their duties. Well, I'm happy to say that the new management is regaining control of the Heritage, but also showing major signs of improvement. For example, it's not everyday that you see an Area Supervisor on her hands and knees in the dirt pulling weeds and helping to beautify the yard for us tenants. A special thank you Paula and April, from not just myself, but from many of the tenants. Just know that you are both greatly appreciated.Seldin Company

AWFUL MANAGEMENT!
The maintenance team is rude, lazy and messy. I have had water heater issues for nearly 4 months now & have to take cold showers. I’m never alerted of when anyone will be entering my apartment. Today, plumbers were replacing my unit, but I was not notified so they had to make a path which meant move dirty laundry and panties by hand. Management (Elizabeth) doesn’t care and is incredibly rude. 2 weeks ago, the dishwasher leaked above me & water was coming from my ceiling-no urgency was made and they called a creepy handyman that didn’t know what he was talking about when he showed up late at night.
I’ve asked several times to be notified prior to anyone coming in so I can make sure paths are cleared. Also, these apartment walls are so thin I can hear what music the people above me are playing and when the neighbor next to me has his phone on his dresser & it buzzes (can hear on vibrate mode). I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in this complex and how they have handled my issues. My privacy is null and void to them, and as a single young woman, who lives alone, and on the floor level I am feeling incredibly unsettled about it all.Seldin Company

1 starAs a tenant of ************************ in OKC with children it's so messed up that I had to live in an apartment without an oven for a month, a broken window for 2 months after the day I moved in (it was never fixed before we moved in) the leak that caused the carpet in my master bedroom to be soaked... The black mold because of the leak and the management that never responded or showed up unless it was for rent, I'm being asked for 1800 or get evicted when they haven't done anything about the 30+ rats Ive caught and killed in my apartment, they cut a huge hole in the wall and left it. That was over a month ago my carpet is still soaked and the leak was never fixed the mold is still there and they took me to court yesterday and they won an order for me to pay.... My kids have been sick... I have been sick and all I wanted was for them to fix the problem and then I will pay... We don't want to find another place because its stressful but it's messed up that they don't have to do anything they're supposed to do and yet I get in troubleReview fromSarah D

I tried to file a complaint on the bbb page but they lead me to you guys. I'm emailing in reference to my situation I have gone through for two out of the three years I've lived here. I reside at the apartments in south Sioux City Nebraska, *********** apartments! they can never keep workers! They don't ever fix issues! However they do the most laziest patch work! Roaches have gotten so extremely bad I had to throw out brand new furniture! They think bringing pest control once a month to spray works! It doesn't, especially when their hiding behind cabinets and all that spray does is make them relocate. My tub was always clogged and when they unclogged it, another person in the building had plumbing issues and when they would fix their plumbing issues I would then again have a clogged tub, I called for months about my clogged tub and never had Maintence show up I had to scoop water out every day for atleast 6 months straight just for me or my kids to take showers. I had electricity run through my sink water two different occasions! The mice gets so bad too there's holes in every room of the home and in the cabinets! The mice have eaten through atleast 300$ worth of my food, there response to me is "buy tubs with lids" to put my food in, I shouldn't have to live out of boxes or tubs! And their excuse is it's because we live close to crops, but there's no crops by us, they only put out these black boxes that don't help. Makes no sense living on 2nd floor and having to deal with mice. Also in another building there was a bed bug outbreak! They only treated one apartment and neglected the rest. The cabinets are so crappy and fall apart easily they don't come to fix those either. When something starts to fall apart it gets ignored and then it makes thing fall apart more. When I reached out to the property management she had a bad attitude. And when I expressed my concerns with her she just told me to leave and get out of my lease. I have it all on recording. Hi Sarah, thank you for taking the time to rate and review Seldin Company. We are disappointed to hear your concerns and hope we can assist right away. I was able to confirm some information with the on-site leasing team at ******************, as well as their supervisors. They note office staff has changed a few times in your residency, and though we've had a few recent external hires, most of our staff adjustments have been internal due to promotions and/or needing to move staff between Seldin-managed apartment communities to ensure all apartments are covered. They confirmed all work orders filed for your home are shown as completed, and most were completed within 48 hours of you requesting the work. Those work orders not completed within a 48-hour window were due to issues outside of our control, such as shipping delays for parts/replacements needed, or vendors having conflicting schedules. Some work orders were not completed due to refusal of entry by the resident, which we acknowledge is the resident's choice, but would like to also note that our team cannot assist fully if not allowed into the home. The Fire Chief (city inspector) states the pest control issues are resolved at this time, and we are actively following standard pest control procedures. We do recommend sealing food items within the home if pests are present or are a concern, as a precaution. They confirmed the issue of electricity running through the water line was addressed by the on-call maintenance professional, and this issue was fixed by a vendor the next day. They note this occurred a second time and was resolved as promptly as the first time, by our on-call/vendor teams. The Regional Portfolio Manager confirms that she is willing to allow lease termination without additional fees, as we would like to assist as much as we can in leaving each resident as satisfied as possible with their stay at our communities. We hope this option alleviates some of the stress caused by issues you've experienced, and appreciate your patience as we continue to do our best to provide services needed for each resident's comfort at our apartment communities.Sarah D

Hello, I appreciate you looking into this and only seeing it from one sided clearly! The only time I refused entry was when I was "in the shower" the Maintence man told me he would text or call me when a good time would be for him to come and failed to do so. That's when I contacted the office about it. Sorry not sorry I had my kids block the door and try to tell him I was in the shower, where he then gave attitude and some smart comments to my kids. He then went and grabbed Valerie who then came to my apartment being all loud at the mouth and rude instead of understanding as I'm standing there in a towel. And bring the fire chief back out here. They only checked to see if my fire alarms worked had they did a thorough check of my apartment they clearly would had seen other serious issues. You cannot sit here and tell me what goes on in my apartment when you have not been in here to see for yourself. I have been nothing but transparent with these people I have not snapped out like I wanted too because I almost lost my daughter behind y'all negligence! The first time I had electric coming threw my sink water they told me it was fixed even Erica had an attitude about it. Then weeks later I'm have electric running threw my sink again. Clearly you guys don't care about nobody but the money! it's much easier to tell someone to leave rather then fix the issues and it shows! I didn't post this for a response, because I knew the lack of accountability that would of come from this. I have every ounce of photo and video of proof that this apartment is far from good standings. But you ain't ready for all that. Had this been youre home living conditions and youre child on life support for 9 **** days fighting for their life because of youre apartments having all these roaches mice and mold issues, you wouldn't be sitting here talking to me the way you are. They are not the kind of company a person can Trust. My wife and I applied for an apartment in Omaha called Ralston House in July 5,2022 we told the Manager Kim and Joyce that we gave our current Manager a notice to vacate on September 1 ,2022 .After two dozen phone calls one of the Representatives from Seldin Company with the last name ***** told me that someone would get back to me either way and to this day no one has called us. NOW we are Homeless. They should not be in Business.Seldin Company
