I went to the ER August 14th and was admitted Aug 15th at midnight. Had a CT Scan and was told I had gallstones outside of my gallbladder before I could have that surgery I needed those removed. However, they don’t do this procedure at Midlands and said I needed transported to Bergan. I asked if my husband could drive me there they said no and reassured me from the nurses mouth that the cost of the ambulance was paid by the hospital bc they could not handle my procedure there and since I was an inpatient they cover it. After three missed ambulance rides finally got to Bergan had the procedure they said I needed and there was no gallstones!

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I was told by the nursing staff the transport was covered by the hospital at no charge to me! I also, was transported to Bergan and had a procedure I did not need that they said I did. The president of the company on that letter has never called me either. If I have to I will go further for compensation. I can’t believe the hospital is not taking responsibility for their mess ups.

    Sincerely,
